I like it. So you can tell it's a hot grrrl pilot/woman driver. Male tie pilots would probably enjoy the freedom of movement too, but all the uniform components would probably snag and pull their manly chest hair so that's a bad idea.

Greedo in a speedo would be fair play though.

Look I'm all for armor equality, hell I outright prefer it. I super-appreciate Disney for giving Phasma no friggin' boob plates what so ever (not that the actress really HAS much in the boobage department but that's fine) because pretty much anybody else would have done just that.

Speaking as a proud wearer of the white armour, and soon to be proud wearer of the black suit. I have a hate on for the femmtrooper/bare midriff. It's dumb. Huge fan of both Gwendoline Christie and the characters she plays.

The artist, made the conscious decision to alter the TIE uniform worn by Howlrunner based on her gender.

Now, I doubt that the artist had any nefarious intent by the picture, but did decide to make the outfit "sexy" by exposing the midriff.

Did the artist draw Darth Vader in a banana hammock? No. Only the female character gets the skimpy outfit.

I decided to state my opinion and critique the art. I find the idea if the "femtrooper" stupid, and downright insulting to women.

Yeah - and just to cut off the whole "but aren't you bodyshaming". No, armour is armour. It's practical. Uniform is uniform, it's uniform.

Magically enhanced so the uncovered portion was a protected as the rest and served solely and explicitly to distract and tittilate.

The impracticality of such an armour is heavily discussed in that trilogy.

(This is what I was referring to when i said D&D though, all D&D armours... i remember making sets for my friends when i ran an NWN server in the early 2000s... i made some revealing/sexy style armours, also some ridiculous half orc baddies called the iron horde with rusty looking full plate and spiked bastard swords). The bare middrif chainmail section was used a lot, as was the short skirting and removing the thigh armour. (which strangely never decreased the AC, AC always based on chestplate).

Nah, as I recall it was enchanted to be highly protective, as well as comfortable and light.

For most of the book she wears regular plate mail though.

And also FFS it's a pixel sprite, if you don't like it open the **** thing in MS paint and use the paint bucket tool on it after sampling the armor color. Not hard guys. Then you'll have full armor on the thing.

I did do Miss Howl in full gear and she looked like a he. I do paint these little cuties by the pixel, sure enough. When I WAYyyy over did the waist and then decided to be extra cute and go belly button... only THEN did Miss Howl look like a pretty little (EVIL Imperial) gurl.
