Imperial HUGE Ships...I'm Calling It.

Oddly enough the Kimogila does not appear on that list

I don't think that list is complete. It doesn't have a TIE Advanced on it. And there's no way that didn't appear in the RPG.

Maybe Scum should be the faction that is king of the large ships? More practical for cargo running - plus there are R-41 Starchasers, Cloakshapes, Dunelizards, H-6's etc to fill out smalls.

Do you think the Dunelizard will get it's own model? Given that it's just a Scyk with a nosecone.

I hope it does, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up a Title card.

The Dunelizard is a completely different monster to a Syck in so many ways. Different handling, twice the guns, larger.. really, different. I see your point about the Advanced, Avenger and missile boat though.

The ricky was an odd duck, never liked it. Deserves 4 or even 5 firepower, and the worst dial ever.

I loved the look of it and want it in game... but agree completely on the dial.

something to consider on a Monday morning, the week before gencon:

An Imperial Gozanti would be AWESOME.

Prolly... by next GenCon at the latest.

Imperial II-class frigate - 400 meters.

http://wiki.starsidergalaxy.com/images/d/da/Imperial-II-Frigate-5.jpg

This is probably the biggest they can go. It will beed to be between 1.7-2.0x bigger than the Tantive-IV, but man is it sweet.

It also has the benefit or looking like and having many of the same functions as the 1600 meter Star Destroyers.

If they were to stretch the Huge ship series up to 400 meters. then there are also a number of ships between the Tantive and the Imperial II-class frigate, that become likely. Such as the iconic Nebulon B-class frigate (300 meters).

@patox

Gozanti is tiny.... only 64 meters. Less than half the size of the Tantive.

Don`t get me wrong. Nice ship to have, but is it "Huge" or is it merely in the upper range of "Large"??

And we can't even say, "Well that's from some obscure game. Nobody will pay attention." thanks to the Police Gunship in Clone Wars.

BOLS is a sack of crap. The site spams ads and browser hijacks on mobile devices. I wouldn't recommend posting any links to it.

I did not know dat one my Star Gecko... but what I posted was to my post at my second Battle Parlor Blog; with an image I uploaded after I cleaned it up a bit, and the direct player code from YouTube for the videos.

No links to BOLS. I do not go there much at all either.

The police gunship looks a zillion times better than the TIE Box. Someone actually bothered to try and design something here.

That said, I thought it fell more into the "speeder" category than the "someone would fly this off the hangar deck of a ship in deep space" category.

Why would we want to give /any/ blog page-hits when we could watch directly on youtube?

Well, that's because that's... Actually, exactly what it is. Designed for Atmospheric use only.

If by "try and design something" you mean "took a generic transport and tacked a bunch of TIE panels to it because TIE panels = cruise control for cool", then yes.

It's not generic, though. It actually fits the CW "proto-Empire" aesthetic rather than being a box made for a low-polygon game by someone who didn't care. It's also not a poorly drawn mistake like the godawful Starwing.

Sorry, but the Police Gunship is just as much of a box. Just because you make the box a trapezoid instead of a rectangle doesn't mean it's not still a box.
