Imperial HUGE Ships...I'm Calling It.

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

You mean female pleasure devices?

NAH!!!

Those A wings are missing the divide in their noses and it is really bothering me.

Not much that can be done with that since they are based on the McQuarrie A Wing. But i agree the divide adds something to the look of it

Good thing they aren't A-Wings then.

from the Imperial Raider preview :

Now, however, we draw closer to the arrival of that first Imperial huge ship.

Not the arrival of "an" Imperial huge

Not the arrival of "the" Imperial huge

The arrival of that "first"

I'd rather see something NOT wedge shaped now. Gozanti would be really nice.

Too much wedge. WE got armada ffs. No more space pizzas.

In contrast, I want MORE wedges. (and no space dongs)

I hope the Raider is big enough to put fibre optics in to light the windows.....

Gozantiiii. plz.

Time to invoke the mass Farce effect: Gonzie... Gonzie... Gonzie!

Anyone else notice that the Natasha Pup(sp?) has the word 'deploy' bolded as a key word. Might hint at you all getting the TIE deploying Gozanti you all wanted. Still not a fan but it's not like I'm going to turn it down right?

I like any ship that carries TIE fighters. So Gozer gets the thumbs up from me.

Well I liked the ship just fine from the get go. Just didn't want deploy rules made in the game for carriers. Oh well. Will totally play it if it does come to pass.

Edited like hell. Lol

Don't you think Tie Fighters on the Gozanti will look oddly off-scale if this ship would be released for epic?

The Gozanti would need to be 1/270 scale.

Could be fun if the Gozanti was released with two sets of rules and dials, one for nomal play and one for epic. It would be fitting for the empre to have the largest size ship in normal play.

The Gozanti would need to be 1/270 scale.

Then it would look like off-scale towards the other epic ships - even with the 'sliding scale'

Yeah it's tricky scale wise.

The Gozanti would be fine at Epic scale, so long as there wasn't any way to physically attach TIE fighters to it.

It would also be fine at 1/270 scale if there WAS a way to physically attach TIE Fighters to it.

(assuming you used unofficial measurements like Mel's Miniatures did for his Shapeways version).

Whichever way you choose, you're going to annoy the section of the fanbase who wanted it the other way around.

So how about just adding a 1/32 scale Tie Punisher for epic?

They should have called it the TIE Revolver.

....this thread is still going?

Like the cleaning of a house, it never ends...

bump.

Oh hey, another Imperial frigate.....

Will someone please tell Fractalponge that Shapeways exists? Please?

Actually, looking into it more, I'm not sure the Gozanti qualifies as a Huge ship.

It's only, like, 2/3rds the size of the Rebel Transport. And, like, 1/3rd the size of a Corvette. It wouldn't even be a 2 card ship.

On the other hand, it's like twice the size of a YT-1300. So it's not really a Large ship either.

It's like just the right size to be difficult to classify.

There's been a fair bit of talk on that subject here - because of the size of the TIE fighters, Mel ended up scaling his version up so it would be around 70 metres long. It is in a bit of an odd spot size-wise, mainly due to the external TIE rack they use in Rebels.
