If FFG releases a version of this that DOESN'T allow TIE's to roost underneath, will you still sell your version that does? Or will you axe it like the other ships you've designed that have later been released?
Ill axe it. Just like the rotated B-Wings I did. But Ill think of some piece you could print and glue to place TIEs underneath it.
I still have the weird design for the E-Wing, the Heavy Z-95 and Clone Z-95, the clone wars Y-Wing, the episode VII X-Wing and now I sell a traslucent version of the official TIE Phantom. But those are all things you wouldnt be able to tweak with the official models.

definitely get the impression the Ghost is really quite big, especially when you see it docked with the new Wookie ship (which looks like the space ambulance from the Ariel episode of Firefly, which was made from an old movie Hind D)
Well we won't be seeing the ghost in regular x-wing then it's clearly epic scale, that's going to disappoint some people.
Kinda glad we won't have a third rebel turret ship though twos enough.
I think the guys from Rebels designed the Ghost and then realised it was too big when they did the interiors of the cockpits. When you see the two ships together the Ghost looks oversized. Even the textures, the Gozanti is much more detailed that the main ship of the show.
The imperial Gozanti version is in my shop too. No pictures yet but its up there. And as I said before in another thread, its going to increase its price considerably by October 7th because shapeways will be using a new system to calculate prices.
Meh, those images radically change what the Imperial Star Destroyer's main hangar has looked like.
I've spent many hours figuring out the innards of the ISD and the aft opening of the main hangar is not that small.

I thought they looked ok, the Ghost is a little larger than the other large ships.. even the Decimator it would seem.. but I think it could work as a large based ship..
I loved the first episode though, thought it was well done and really the only cheese I didn't care for is the slingshot wrist blaster on the kid.. hopefully they don't use that too much.. other than that.. good show so far..

I also think there are 2 sizes to the Gonz... that smaller one in the show looks like a support vessel, and I'm betting there is a larger one yet to be seen. The small one should fall in the 62 meter size.. or so.. and the larger maybe 75 or larger.
Either way, I love the Gonz, and the Ghost is growing on me. Maybe they can shave it down a little.. who knows..

Love all the pics and discussion in this topic but really the bff container carrier and b class frigate are the most thematically fitting and tabletop practical of the ideas so far, they are iconic style ships from the star wars galaxy too which seems to be the focus of the huge ships so far. if only the star destroyers weren't the size of every kitchen table around they would aleady be released before S&V but releasing a non star destroyer huge ship means it really will have to be very star wars recognizable and the only huge ships that truly fit that are the b class frigate from the movies and the bff from all the fighter games

Too big to be Large, too small to be Huge...
Its hard to do health. If its a large ship, it would have more health than a huge ship, but if it was a huge ship, it could regent health/shields. The rebel transport only has 8 hull, the same as the falcon, but suppose the falcons hull is built to better take punishment. Same with the decimator. It probably has vital systems strategicly placed and redundant systems placed throughout the ship, and has things like bulkheads to migate damage spreading. The transport doesn't have that, but it does have reduntant systems which you bring online "restoring" health.
Dunno whether to make it have more hull than a decimator (looks like its twice as massive, at least!) or give it less hull but the ability to reinforce and repair.
