Imperial HUGE Ships...I'm Calling It.

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

If they do announce something, it will probobly be the epic ship, Trigon 1, for Scum & Villiany.

Who would you want to see as crew cards for an Imperial epic ship? epic S&V?

Is that Neb B to scale with the Corvette? If not, do you have a to-scale one? I know they ask a lot of money on Shapeways for the printouts.

That is Not the one in scale with the Corvette. I dont have any pictures of that, and personally I wont buy it because its too expensive for me. LTJGBeam said he has plans of buying one eventually. Maybe christmas. I would advise people to wait until Black Friday when Shapeways makes discounts.

He already got it.. there are pictures somewhere.. maybe check a few pages back.. I think he posted them here..

No, I mean he plans to ALSO buy the 1/450 one. He already has the 1/608.

Ahh, ok.. I thought he had bought the 450.. mea culpa..

For reasons too difficult to explain, I had to change the link for the Nebulon B 1/608 temporaly. In case somebody wants it, now its over here:

Here are some cool new images:

Mel, I love you.

I love you and I want to have your children.

And by "your children" I mean your Nebulon B Frigate.

And by "your Nebulon B Frigate", I mean your d... you get the idea.

You want his tenacious D collection? i think he invested alot of money into that.

What can I say? I find Jack Black strangely desirable.

In the "Wonder Boy" video, at least.

Be careful. Its 48cm long and if you get it big its 66cm.

You need to put that on a t-shirt.

Hey I was at B&N the other day, paging through FFG's Age of Rebellion sourcebook. The Vigil is included in that game, as a "Vigil-class corvette". It is listed right next to the CR-90 with similar stats, like it's a direct analogue, although none of the ships' lengths were mentioned. But that definitely increases the chance that we might see the it. At this point, at least, no one can say it's just fan fiction and FFG would never use it—they already have.

Also listed were a Galactic Civil War-era version of the Consular-class cruiser and the Gozanti-class cruiser, but at the time of that game (same as XWMG) both of them are considered outdated, and in use primarily by the Rebellion.

The only other ship in the same range was the Empire's Lancer-class frigate, and its anti-starfighter role was mentioned.

To paraphrase the Age of Rebellion sourcebook:

Vigil-class corvette: Smallest of the Star Destroyer line, comparable to (although more powerful than) the CR-90

Lancer-class frigate: Used by the Empire in anti-starfighter role

Consular-class cruiser: Repurposed from the Clone Wars, outdated but still current during GCW, used by Rebellion

Gozanti-class cruiser: Repurposed from before the Clone Wars, outdated and used by Rebellion and Mercenaries

I don't have high expectations for any particular outcome here, but seeing how FFG considers these ships, and seeing how they appreciate at least some continuity between games, it does merit some consideration.

@melminiatures

As my brother owns a Mendel 90 Printer, is there a possibility to just obtain the data file for the print.

The shapeway price is to high for me, even takeing into considoration the much better quality of there printers.

Be careful. Its 48cm long and if you get it big its 66cm.

Were you spying on me the other night...were there cameras...

I sent this e-mail to FFG:

Message:

To the very nice people at FFG,

I have been waiting patiently for any information regarding the Huge ships for EPIC play in the X-wing miniatures game that you sell.

I am a fan of the game and want to get into EPIC play but there has been no information regarding the two factions that currently have no huge ships.

Can you at least release the names of the huge ships coming up? I have been patiently waiting for far to long to even just know WHAT is coming, let alone WHEN it will be available.

If you can''t say what the huge ships are, can you give me an idea of when you will be able or are planning to?

This info drought is wearing me down…

And this was their response...

Sergovan:

Thanks for your note, but all will be revealed in good time.

I actually lol'ed at this.

...I mean, they're stonewalling you, but at least they're doing it with a wink.

Sounds a lot like yes, but we will wait a bit until Wave 6 is closer to launch

I'm semi-surprised they responded at all, but they do have some awesome people there. I really wish they had a more active forum presence but I mean the more time they would spend on the forums the less actual work/play testing would get done

Page 52!

They always seem to respond. It doesn't take much to be polite to your customer base, and our really pays off in the long run I believe.

I sent an email last year just to express that there are customers interested in seeing a Tie Avenger and that I would buy a squadrons worth if they made one based on Fractalsponge's version. They wrote me back to thank me for my suggestion but that they couldn't discuss the released schedule. I just wanted it to be on their radar and I didn't expect a response. As I customer the fact that they took the time to respond made me happy and I felt like they cared.

Now, back on topic, who wants mouse droid crew cards!?

I think mouse droid cards are a must and we need them on an imp large ship.

Its a crew card that adds a crew slot with cost 0. You can put as many as you want inside a ship.
