X-Wing Miniatures Inventory Program

By any2cards, in X-Wing

Hey,

first of all, thanks for awesome work!

I have few questions - sorry if they have been answered already, but I only briefly read 7 pages of this topic!

1. What if I bought, 2x Khiraxz expansions, but also I bought 2 Khiraxz ships with dials and pilots only. Hence I do have only 2 full expansions and 2 upgrades-less. How are you dealing with it?

2. Also, I bought lets say 2 Lambdas, but I do not need 2xDarth Vader crew or Rebel Captive, since they are unique. I've sold these cards. How do I subtract them from the formula?

Of course I can do it manually - simply putting numbers in cells right next to cells with your formulas, but since you've made this excel to automate almost everything I'm asking if you thought about these scenarios.

Cheers and thanks again for awesome tool!

Sacrilege !!! Bloody sacrilege !!!

Buying X-Wing stuff (good), then breaking it up (bad), and then actually SELLING some of it (ugly) !!!

At the moment, there is no way to directly deal with this, as it only handles specific, complete sets. I will give some thought to creating a second "front" page, that will allow you to input individual pieces as adds and subtracts. While I can see how do to it, modifying everything single page to address every single possible addition/subtraction is going to be a royal pain in the *&^ !!!

:P :D

Today, I spent a bunch of time modifying the spreadsheet to try and address requested features. The changes I made are as follows:

1) I modified the Purchases tab to reorganize the waves, aces sets, veteran sets, huge sets, accessories, etc. I think it is now clearer and easier to enter data.

2) I added a new Tab called "Mods". It is now the second tab, right after the Purchases tab. This tab will allow you to track changes to your X-Wing investments. Basically, it will allow you to add and/or subtract pieces at a granular level for each and every piece that comes with any expansion. For example:

a) Suppose you acquired an additional X-Wing and Dial, without actually purchasing the whole

expansion. Now you can add an X-Wing + Dial on the Mods tab (using a positive 1), and it will

reflect this properly throughout the spreadsheet.

b) Suppose you traded a Tractor Beam card for a C3PO card. You can add a Tractor Beam upgrade

card on the Mods tab (using a positive 1) and subtract a C3PO upgrade card on the Mods tab

(using a negative -1).

c) Suppose you won an alternate art pilot card for Han, you can add it to the Mods tab (using a

positive 1).

In essence, you can now track any partial sets or individual pieces that you acquired and/or sold.

Keep in mind that if you do purchase whole expansions, they should still be added on the Purchases tab as normal, so you don't have to deal with all of the minutia of adding the individual pieces on the Mods tab. You should only use the Mods tab if you have pieces to add or subtract from the collection.

Any entries on the Mods tab will in no way be reflected in the MSRP, Discount, or Savings US $ fields.

Finally, I moved the Print tab to the very last tab (it helps me out).

In order to provide this flexibility, I had to modify each and every formula in the spreadsheet (hundreds of them). I tried to be meticulous in doing so; still, it is possible some errors were made. Let me know if you find anything. Thanks.

I changed the version number to 19.0.

So good <3

Added information on the Waves tab to reflect the up coming Imperial Veterans (TIE Bomber, TIE Defender) expansion, and the Heroes of the Resistance (YT-1300, T-70) expansion.

Changed the version # to 19.1.

Added Wave 9 information to spreadsheet.

Changed the version # to 19.2.

Great sheet, however I noticed that there are no pilots, ship tokens, upgrades, etc. for Imperial Veterans expansion, as well as any of the calculations to account for them.

Otherwise awesome work, keep it up!

It's not there because I don't as of yet have them in my hand. Previously, I tried to put partial information into the program, received from general postings, other users, etc.

What I ended up with was endless questions from people on why things were wrong, why things were missing, etc.

Now, I only update the sheet with new expansions when I actually have the goods in my hands and can verify EVERYTHING that comes with it.

I should be getting my Imperial Veterans in the next week or so, depending on CSI's shipping (which can be notoriously bad).

Look for an update then.

I don't see that the Imperial Veterans is fully working yet.

Sigh (not at you, directed at CSI). I am STILL waiting for Imp Vets to arrive. I live in Las Vegas. It takes like 10 effing days to ship from CSI Florida. I swear I could fly to the moon in less time.

Perhaps they ship to me via the same boat FFG uses.

When I last checked the shipping notice, it is targeted to get to me on July 9th (2 more days).

No worries. I could have picked them up for you and shipped them, haha.

And...

Thank you for doing this

I really dislike your Spreadsheet.

Now i know how much i spent on this.

Seems like a great tool. I'll have to check it out when I'm home from work

And...

Thank you for doing this

Yes, thank you again for all your efforts on this any2cards.

I had been totaling up my ships and thought I was at 99, then I remembered you hadn't received Imp Vets yet, so that means I am at 101 ships. I just hope my wife never finds out that mistakes were made.

I told my wife that I could add up everything I've spent. She said it was probably best not to.

I love my wife.

Today, I added support for the following to the spreadsheet:

  1. Accessories 3 (Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Purple, & Clear Bases & Pegs) information.
  2. Iconic Starships 3 (Imperial Veterans Exp (TIE Bomber, TIE Defender)) information.

I changed version # to 19.5.

Today I modified the spreadsheet to show the existence of Wave 9 and 10 in key tabs. Note, while you can add how many of each expansion within the wave you intend to purchase, no other information will be populated until the expansions are released, and I have a complete set of accurate info for each.

I changed the version to 19.6.

Great work, what if you update the file? Do I have to retype all my acquisitions in the updated file?

The short answer is yes. I have not created any form of transfer/copy/whatever macro to do this. To be honest, I never found the need, as I only every purchased whole expansions.

I suppose, now that it is possible to track partial acquisitions, it may be harder for some to re-enter their previous data. I will have to give some thought as to how this can be done. One issue is that there simply is no way to support all of the versions that exist - there have been so many major changes over the years, that there is no single mapping possible that would support all versions.

Perhaps I will have to create some form of export/import function that would work starting with the version it is included in, and moving forward.

Thanks for your reply... In my case I bought a large second hand lot with some spare cards and double items... I think I'll do it just once and keep it that. :-)

Awesome! Thanks!

Man, I've spent a lot of money... What am I saying? It's all worth it!

Added full support for Wave 9 (ARC-170, TIE/SF Fighter, Protectorate Starfighter, Shadow Caster). Changed version # to 20.0.

Awesome, thank you,

*** NOTE ***

As of 11/12/2016, this spreadsheet will no longer be maintained. It is accurate and complete through Wave 9.
