X-Wing Miniatures Inventory Program

By any2cards, in X-Wing

See above post ^

P.S. The Resistance Ship Tokens tabs only shows 2 also.

I don't see the issue with this tab. What do you think is the mistake here?

I'm probably reading it wrong. If you have 2 x core and 2 x T-70 expansions how many should it say you have on that tab?

I see it showing 2 of each rather than 4.

Perhaps fixing the formula in one area fixed both?

If you are speaking about the Resistance Ship Tokens tab, and assuming you enter 2 TFA core sets and 2 T-70 X-Wing expansions, you should see the following:

For the 2 TFA core sets: 2 Poe Dameron / Red Sq. Veteran

2 Blue Ace / Blue Sq. Novice

For the 2 T-70 expansions: 2 Ello Asty / Red Sq. Veteran

2 "Red Ace" / Blue Sq. Novice

This is what mine shows.

Yeah I finally figured it out. I guess I'm a little slow. Oops

No worries. I appreciate someone keeping me honest and making sure things are accurate ! :P

Hey, this is something I really love for the inventory aspect.

And... something I really hate when I look at how much I've spent.

Ha-ha

Thanks for this, very useful.

Updated spreadsheet to version 17.2 and now allow for tracking purchases of Accessories 5 - Bespin and Death Star II Playmats.

Hello to all, and hail to any2cards..

First of all I´d like to send you my thanks for your awesome work!!! Keep it up!

Second I´d like to ask you for a favor or at least offer an proposal.

As I am one of the many X-Wingers in good old Germany it would be veeeery useful if the spreadsheet or (a translated version of it) would contain the german translations of the cards names.

I guess this request might come up with other languages from X-Wing enthusiasts from around the world.

If you could offer an unprotected sheet I could fill in the german names instead of the english ones and then send it back to you if you´d like to offer it to the public later. No changes would be made to the calculations, as it concerns only the names. Or I could send you a file with all the translations which you could fill in (if you you´d care to ;-)

Vielen Dank (many thx ;-)

PM sent.

PM recieved and answered ;-)

Brief History:

The spreadsheet that I created for X-Wing Inventory management was originally a non-protected spreadsheet. This, unfortunately, led to many instances of confusion due to reported errors, mistakes, etc. many of which turned out to be end user error because they accidentally modified the calculations. In addition, requests were made for partially spoiled information to be added, which is something I didn't want to do, as partial information also led to confusion. When the number of these reports exceed my patience (usually a low number ... :P ), I ended up making it protected.

Unfortunately, this also has its downsides. There are many who would like it to operate slightly differently, calculate differently, display in foreign languages, currency, etc.

After giving this a great deal of thought, and keeping in mind that this was a tool to aid the community, I have decided to create version 17.5 of this spreadsheet which is now fully unprotected.

I will continue to maintain it in the way I see fit. You are free to modify it to your hearts content, but understand that you will have to take ownership of any mistakes, maintaining future versions, etc. All I do ask is that if you share this version or a modified version on some other site, and people have questions, etc., feel free to direct them to me on this (FFG's) site.

Enjoy.

First, great workbook, looks awesome.

Second, is it intended for the "Missions" sheet to remain blank? The cells do not appear to have any formulae attached to them.

Third, as the sets are interchangeable, suggest the "EPIC & MAX Stats" sheet have a combined total for Alliance (Rebel + Resistance) and Imperial (Imperial + First Order) forces.

Yes. The mission's sheet is just supposed to list the missions by name that come with each expansion.

While they are interchangeable, the intent of this sheet is to show what you can field for each specific ship. For that reason, I don't want to combine them.

i didn't mean combine the existing sections, having those separate makes perfect sense. i meant adding a combined total, so that us lazy-types wouldn't have to do the math in our heads. =P

Ah ... I see ... that is certainly reasonable. When I update the sheet in the next week or two (after getting all of Wave 8), I will do so. Thanks for the input.

I put one together that accounts for every piece in every set, given that I thought I'd lost some pieces a while back. If anyone might find it of use:

http://www.starwarsfanworks.com/xwingfile/xwingchecklist.xlsx

I created an online version of this here:

http://www.trovestar.com/generic/group.php?Collection=6

I just upated it for GCC and all Wave-8 pieces.

If you see any errors, just log on and fix them. It works like any wiki but uses Google Logins.

Added Wave 8 Part 2: Ghost, Inquisitor's TIE, Mist Hunter, Punishing One

Added Accessories 4: Rebel, Imperial, & Scum Maneuver Dial Upgrade Kits

Changed version # to 18.0.

Thank you.

Made some minor spelling modifications (corrections). Someday I will realize exactly how "Scyk" is spelled. :P . Updated the version # to 18.1.

Just saw this post. Wow!

Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into this!

Added an Accessories tab to fully identify everything that comes with the various X-Wing Accessories expansions, making all of the pieces trackable. Changed version # to 18.5.

Really useful. Thank you very much.

My personal preference would be to separate out the Accessories on the first page.

I would also group them by faction, not sub-faction, i.e. I wouldn't break out Resistance and First Order into separate tabs.

It's fine as it is though, just giving you some feedback. :)

I appreciate the kind words and feedback. I am not sure what you mean by "separate out the Accessories on the first page". Do you mean you don't want them listed with everything else?

Basically, each item on the first page is listed in order as they became available. I suppose I could group them in some other manner, say by waves, then accessories.

As for the sub-faction stuff, it was requested that it be broken out, for as it grows, it will be easier to track. I actually agree.

Originally the spreadsheet was locked. It no longer is. So you are obviously free to manipulate it to your hearts content !!! :P

I will manipulate it as I use Excel all day at work, but still like to use the original. :)

Yes, on the first page, I'm saying break Accessories into a separate column from the core sets and expansions. Just my personal preference. Obviously I can do that on my own.

I'm not sure why someone would want the sub-factions broken out. They are identifiable by the ships. I suspect it was probably a collector and not a player that wanted that, but no big deal. I can easily fix that in my local copy.
