X-Wing Miniatures Inventory Program

By any2cards, in X-Wing

Just wanted to let you know that this spreadsheet is a god send for my OCD nature. In all of my collection i have only misplaced one focus token and will be asking my friend to use the sheet to work out if he has one extra.

one last thing finding this post on this forum is quite a task, might i suggest you think about putting it up on board game geek where files are more easily managed.

OCD with games ... never would have thought !!!

You and me both. I have tried to be very careful when entering the calculations for all pieces. If you find any errors, let me know.

I do have an account on BGG. I will look at putting it there as well. Please note that the link in the OP should never change, so if you save that link, you will always have access to the latest version.

I like it... I think it is a great idea and thank you for putting it together and sharing. I love being able to keep track of EVERYTHING locally. Don't listen to the folks who are critical of the idea. Such comments are not helpful (if don't need it, don't use it and let that be the end of it... why discourage someone from doing something that others find helpful... I just don't get that). I think it is a great idea and hope you'll keep updating it.

You've got a mistake with the rookie pilots on the rebel pilots tab, it is only counting the rebel transport set and not the core set/x-wing expansion

Can you add in a function that can determine the minimum squad points for all ships of a faction? So all the rookies, prototype, gold, ORS, R.O.'s, Bandits, Knaves, and Blues?

This was odd ... the coding was correct, but was not adding it correctly. After spending some time trying to see what was going on, I simply re-entered the code and all worked correctly. Thank you for pointing this out !

Sent PM asking for clarifications. Thanks.

Was revising the new epic stats sheet, noticed that the imperial aces aren't being counted. I suppose it's because of the fact that the alpha squadron pilot isnt included in imperial aces, but i thought I'd let you know anyway.

Yes. I specifically made this decision as the lowest point pilot for TIE Interceptors (Alpha Sq.) isn't included in Imperial Aces. Now, I suppose we could have a category for them by summing the Saber Sq. Pilot, but then this really wouldn't be the minimum for a TIE Interceptor.

Note that for Rebel Aces, since they came with a A-Wing/Prototype Pilot and a B-Wing/Blue Sq. Pilot, those numbers are reflected within the minimums for those ships.

I'm not sure why this is needed when both VoidState's Squadron Builder and the X-wing Mission Control both allow you to keep track of your collection.

I don't really know why we even need an inventory program...Is there anyone who doesn't know how many of one ship they have?

I dont really know why we need your commentary about something you obviously do not care about?

Is there just the pure need for attention speaking, or was there any kind of real critique or conversation in this commentaries?

Do you feel lonely?

I will hug you if needed...

Back to topic...

Thank you so much for the update.

Right away downloaded it.

:)

Well, I was kind of hoping the OP would chime in about it, because I was genuinely confused as to why it was needed at all since there are already programs for that and, if you get right down to it, a paper checklist serves the same purpose. No need to be an @$$ about it.

This allows me to keep track of it off-line, and most importantly, it keeps track of all of the items that come with each of the expansions beyond just the ships. When a game comes with as many pieces as this one does, it is nice to know that you have everything you are suppose to have.

Especially when you have invested as much as I have in this game. Obviously, if you feel that you don't need it, then don't use it.

When others found out about what I was using, they asked for access to it. So I provided it.

Thanks for the explanation. :) I wasn't trying to be negative, I was just confused as to what the need was. I hadn't considered the offline problem with the builders.

MF ... I did not take you as being negative, just genuinely curious. I know you are a regular poster, and wouldn't just flame for no apparent reason. Like I said, I like having the stuff off line, and like the ability of also tracking all of the little bits and pieces that come with the game beyond just the ships.

And to be quite honest, I am a little OCD about this stuff. I have a complete game room filled with games. I tend to be the one that provides everything for a game day. And on VERY rare occasions, and to those I trust, I may lend some games. It is nice to know for a fact that I actually get everything back. :P

I currently have 68 ships in my X-Wing collection, so you can imagine the number of tokens I have. I am far older than the average person on this site, and combined with a lesion in my brain, it is tough for me to remember things. I consider these spreadsheets my memory aid. :D

Also, Proximity Mines seems to be wrong.

It comes with the Slave 1.

Also it seems Seismic Charges counts the wrong cells?

To be honest, I tend to not add anything until I actually obtain the item in question, and can verify everything that is in it. I do this because I have been burned in the past by some site providing pre-information on what is in a wave, and that information being wrong.

Having said that, I guess I can add it now, and then verify later. Give me a couple of hours. Got something else going on at the moment.

Well I can upload a picture of what is included in the final product since I obtained it about 2 weeks ago.

Sigh. Your findings are correct. In fact, there were other cells on the Upgrades Page 2 page that were incorrect. It occurred because of how the cells were referenced, and how I copied certain things. My bad. I am in the midst of correcting this and adding Wave 5. New a couple of hours. Thanks.

This would help because while the links show the cards, it doesn't show all of the various tokens that come with the sets. I really don't want to add partial data. If you want, send me what you have via PM.

I uploaded a fixed version of the X-Wing Miniature Inventory spreadsheet. It still, however, does not include Wave 5 stuff.

Hi there. Nice work. I just gave it a test drive.

You have calculation errors on the Totals tab.

Under Upgrades, the fields Bomb/Mine, Cargo, System Upgrade, and Hardpoint all show ####.

Outside of that everything looks good.

LOLOLOLOLOL ...

Yes. Because those were the exact ones I fixed the calcs on. And of course, that in turn effed up the Totals page. Now, if I would just pay better attention.

Ok, all fixed and posted.

Sent you an e-mail with the link.

Added information for Wave 5 ships (YT-2400 and VT-49). Thanks to Marten for copies of key information. Noted this change in the original post.

hi, would it be possible to provide an unprotected sheet? I'm trying to help someone with a little project and have the need to lift all the data values into a separate script. PM me if you need more details, ty

It's seems very useful, thanks, greetings.
