If you had a YT 2400, Outrider Title, and a Secondary Weapon equipped what would happen if you received a face-up critical that disabled your secondary weapon?

Would the primary weapon become primary again? Or would you be barrel-rolling towards a map edge devoid of all red die?

As the title card is worded, if you lose (discard) your gun, the title prerequisite no longer applies, thus you revert to your primary gun.

Conceptually ridiculous, but that's how it works.

I just imagine the HLC fall off and drift into space. Then 2 more cannons sprout from the holes left in the ship. Silly.

With the emitters on the HLC damaged beyond repair, Dash, or his droids, are able to reroute the power couplings back to the stock lasers that they bypassed years ago. Not something you could normally do back and forth during combat without blowing the whole power distribution system, but doable as an emergency hack to reroute power to the weak, long disabled weapons that came standard on the ship.

Not far fetched conceptually. The Heavy Laser Cannon was just mounted on top of his primary laser turret and power was rerouted to the HLC. Then when it broke off, they reroute power back to the primary laser cannon.

*Correction, first sentence says " while equipped" the secondary cannon will do this. So the crit that causes you to discard your secondary will allow you to revert back to your primary.

I dont think this is how it will work. If you get the secondary weapon malfunction, it means you discard one secondary weapon. If that happens to be your HLC, then you'll have a problem as the Outrider title says you get no primary weapon attack. You don't get to discard the title just because you had to toss the HLC.

That crit would leave the Outrider weaponless.

you don't discard the title. You discard the secondary weapon upgrade card.

If that card is the HLC, you no longer have a canon upgrade card equipped.

The title states "While you have a canon Upgrade card equipped, ...".

You no longer have the canon card equipped, so you can use the primary weapon again.

I don't really see any ambiguity here.
