Parchment of the Elder Sign

By seang2, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Does the 'Parchment of the Elder Sign' count against points for victory like the regular 'Elder Sign' does?

I think it will come down to the wording of scoring. If it says "Elder signs on the board" then yes. But if it says Elder Signs, then no. Sorry I don't have a rule book on me, otherwise I would give a better ruling

I think the rules say you get -1 for "elder signs used" which means the item. Furthermore, it's referring specifically to the Unique Item. No penalty for the Parchment, or else that would have been mentioned in the Dark Pharaoh rules. Parchment is, after all, more risky: there's a chance it'll be discarded without effect!
