Best Case supplier?

By Sonikgav, in X-Wing

So my collection is just starting out but growing (rapidly i might add) but ive no way of transporting them safely so what does everyone use?

Ive seen there may be a company out there that makes precut foam but just wanted to check with the community to see whats the norm before i show up with a bubblewrap and shoebox job.

- There are at least three companies with pre-cut foam. One of them stores ships on bases.

- Pluckfoam

- Tacklebox

- The original plastic blister, especially the interior part. Cut to size, it fits into small compartments of various boxes.

... before i show up with a bubblewrap and shoebox job.

Nothing wrong with that.

...but there's actually very little wrong with the plastic packaging the ships actually come in. You can carry 7 ships in the core set box, bag up a batch of tokens and put the rules, movement and range templates in a folder and you're ready to go.

A lot of people cut their own foam and use a Plano tacklebox. Nothing wrong with that at all. Personally, I have a Battlefoam Sword bag with custom foam (which I STILL haven't posted a review of, bad me, bad bad bad) and made sure to lay out my trays so that they were all rebel, or all imperial. That way, when I outgrow the one bag, I'll buy a second and have 1 rebel bag, and 1 imperial bag.
