So they have popped out the Wave 5 Announcement so what does that leave for Gen Con. We all are hoping for the Epic Imperial release to be announced, but what else? New ships from "Rebels" or teasers of Ep VII?

For Gen Con last year they had the early release of Wave 3 and the announcement of the Epic ships. So are we going to be wallet breaking this year with Rebel Aces and a very slim chance of Wave 5 ships being in hand?

They have scheduled events in two qualifying flights for nationals this year, and have a quite a few Epic events being run by various groups. The Wave 4 ships should be in full effect for these matches. This will be the true proving grounds on just how this changes the meta as we will see a hugely diverse field. Just how many hearts would stop if they not only announced the Epic ships but then ran a few demos with the said new ships or even Wave 5 ships if they won't be ready for sale.

I'm thinking Imperial epic, with 1 ship including the wished for Advanced upgrade.

I'm hoping for the Vigil, if that is the Epic ship we get, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Mainly looking forward to the youtube reports of the GenCon tournies.

Also seeing as how wave four is imminent and rebel aces allegedly in July, would it at all be feasible to believe that these two wave five ships could be up for prerelease sale at GenCon?

They occasionally have items available at GenCon before they are available in stores. For instance, when the game was released at GenCon 2 years ago, it was another month or so before it showed up in stores.

Yeah, in 2012 they sold the Core Set and Wave 1 ships before they were widely available. And in 2013, they sold Wave 3 ships before they were shipped to stores.

I think we'll get Rebel Aces at GenCon this year. It would blow my mind, though, if Wave 5 was on sale there. Holy crap.

I think we'll learn about the remaining SKUs at Gen Con.

Four more items; including two Imperial Huge ships.

I think Wave 4 will obviously be for sale there, Rebel Aces has a great shot at being ready for sale, I would be very surprised if Wave 5 would be there (except as eye candy in a display case-- Wave 5 and the two Imp huge ships will be on display, not for sale).
