Whoa whoa whoa, the Decimator is $10 more than other large ships, according to miniature market??
Would you buy Wave 5, if not for upgrades?
Would I?
Ditto!

Oh hell yeah. I buy them for the ships! BUT, I'll want only one of those bigguns. I don't know yet if there are the typical Other Two, or if these are separate releases.
Yeah, I don't understand the mindset of oh this ship isn't in the movies so I won't be using it. I've never heard of the decimator but I'm stoked for it!
I also never heard about Decimator before, but to be honest - I don't mind it at all. I has one feature that bought me even before I saw his awesome statline.
It looks imperial.
Just it. It design screams "For the Empire"! and because of it's TIE-ish cockpit it has enough Star Wars design to fit in nicely with the rest of Empire's stuff.
Considering Outrider - it just had to be here, 'nuff said.

It's not about being in the movies, it's about being recognizable at all. I love the Z-95, despite it never appearing in a movie, because it has a long history in the universe. In fact it's older than many of the ships that did appear in movies, and has continued to appear in books/games/etc since then. It's a well-established part of the universe that deserves to be part of the game.
The Decimator, on the other hand, isn't. As far as I can tell it's a random obscure ship from one mediocre game that has never appeared anywhere else, and probably only exists at all for game balance reasons. Delete it entirely from the canon and hardly anyone would notice its absence. I guess I might use it someday since I have to buy it anyway for the upgrades, but I'm not going to be eagerly anticipating it like the Z-95 and B-wing.
It's a game, they look great, and I like what they bring to each side, so absolutely would get them beyond just the upgrades.
I will definitely be buying them. Just one of each, but I do that with every large ship. The Outrider is almost as iconic as any movie ship, and though I had not heard of the Decimator until today, I fell instantly in love with it. It looks menacing. And it is as close to a Star Destroyer as we will get in a standard 100 pt game. The imperials really needed a hulking, menacing ship to truly feel like Imperials. And now they have that (though huge ships for epic play would be greatly appreciated).
It also reminds me of the player ship for Sith characters in SWTOR. Which is sorta cool.
I'm actually REALLY excited about this wave. I think FFG really hit it out of the park.
Also, if they're willing to do something as obscure as the Decimator, then maybe we will get a Vigil class corvette for a huge ship.
I'm soooooo glad this game didn't turn into just repaint after repaint of OT ships.
This is a slam dunk wave for me. It could not have been more perfect.
I like the decimator, even though I never heard of it before today. I am a little concerned about it being just an imperial falcon. As some other have said, I like the fact that the 2 factions are fundamentally different. I don't want this to go to the point where the only thing different is the look of the models on the table. Still looking foward to it and will by 2 of each as always. Never been a huge fan of the outrider, seemed like too much a falcon rip off to me, but to each their own. Will still get 2. Turreted HLC, who can say no to that? One other thing I find interesting is 0 agility on the decimator. Great fodder for the Cr 90s main gun and turbo lasers are going to rip it in half in epic play. Ought to be cool in standard play though.
The Imperials really did need a turret ship though. We have to fight Phantoms and Interceptors too. And rejuvenated A-Wings soon.
Nope, wouldn't buy it if it didn't come with upgrades my other ships will need. The Outrider is at least recognizable, but I already have the Falcon which does most of the same thingsā¦
I'd be interested to hear you name two things that both the Outrider and the Falcon do, other than base size and turret primary.
And there's no way I would buy an incredibly ugly imperial ship from an obscure game without the upgrade cards. I'll probably just keep the cards and sell the ship.
SW:Galaxies wasn't exactly obscure, and if you wanted to introduce an Imperial counterpart to the Falcon (as FFG apparently did), what would you consider a better/more iconic choice?
I've never heard of the Decimator or Phantom. Yet, FFG's design wizardry makes me want to own them. Very pretty models.
Of course I would, and I will!
The Outrider is a ship I've been waiting for a long time since I love the design. I also can't wait to try a Smuggler's Run build, Han Solo with Dash Rendar. It will probably not be competitive but will compensate with style.
The Decimator bring nostalgia from all the hours I spent in SWG... I miss the space part of this game so much!
So 1 of each from here!
I'll get one of each , I think from the points of Dash, that it could fit in a 2 ORS 1 Outrider build (and I haven't gotten a third falcon yet) - so that seems good.
Will 2 decimators be viable? If so, I might get a second, but the idea of a decimator and ties seems good, so i'm not sure i'd need a second.
ill be at least getting a Decimator, dunno yet about the YT-2400
I'm not sure. I'm only collecting (relatively) slowly. Right now I'm more interested in the transport.
I don't fly my YT-1300 very often, and I prefer quantity over tanky, so I'm not sure what I would do with them.
Yeah I'd buy them cause they look cool :-)
I plan to get one of each for now as I have with each of the others then buy more of what I enjoy flying
