I like the look of the X4. Reckon that might be another large ship for the Rebels?
Bring Out the Big Guns! Wave 5 announcement
You know, something I was just wondering about:
The Countermeasures card has "modification" on it. And that word is set far over to the left. We'd been thinking previously that this meant it had more room for text, possibly a limitation of some kind (large ship only, YT-2400 only, something like that). But i was looking through my cards on an unrelated matter, and I noticed that so far all the titles and modifications have their limitation listed first , not last. So for instance if it were limited to large ships only, it would say Large ship only. Modification.
Now, the final format of the text may not be represented accurately here, but it's just an observation I made that I felt like sharing with the community.
also, does anyone have any idea how long it takes them to start releasing spoiler articles?

Well looking at the news section it shows that they first announced Wave 4 on February 7. Then the first preview article after that was for the Z-95 Headhunter, and it was uploaded on March 24.

Yes. Hmm, I wonder if they'll space them out more since there are only two ships for this wave.

But there is also less time since it says Q3 as a target which leaves 3 months(July-Sept), VS the 5 months of Wave 4(Feb-June)
I imagine we will be getting Rebel Aces spoiler articles before we get Wave 5 spoiler articles.

That's true. I wonder if the fact that there's only two ships is the reason for the speedier release gap.

Probably, less time play testing because of less new combos, bigger ships mean less potential combos can be run with them, less production time with fewer ships, they also probably had the Outrider designed since wave 2 right after the Falcon took off in popularity and just sitting on a shelf waiting to be released

Or maybe hexis is right, and this is a herald of the wok gliders to come.

bigger ships mean less potential combos can be run with them,
A turreted, three crew Imperial ship and a ship that can take any cannon and turn it into a turret and carries crew? There's a whole bunch of interactions to check for balance there.
.
I'd sooner say that there are only two ships because of the time consuming playtesting.

This way if they start to release ships two per phase means more phases, and also since there are pretty much something release every month, we the consumer, don't get overwhelmed
I mean with these new waves, pilots introduced with huge ships, and aces packs coming out the meta is going to be changing a lot. We will be still adjusting and getting a handle on it by the time wave five comes out and starts changing it up more.
Which is good. Keeps the game fresh and evert changing, but can get hard on the wallet.

Yes but it also means those interactions are the ONLY new interactions, vs having 2 additional ships to deal with. Many cannon/crew interactions have already been tested and I think very few are affected by if that cannon is a turret. As for the VT, we can assume all of the existing 2 grew Combos have been tested and yes adding 1 more slot adds more it doesn't lead to nearly as many additional interactions. (Adding an extra Weapons, Engineer/Gunner is useless. Adding an additional Merc Copilot doesn't really require testing does it? there are a few other things of course, and the Imperials have less unique crew which generally would be the ones causing the weird interactions)

I only need 1 devastator, and probably one YT2400, so wave 5 will be a lot cheaper than wave 4 and its Z-95s... Gonna need like 4 of the things.
I agree there, maybe a second 2400 depending on generic costs, and whether I like Eaden/Leebo/Dash enough that I want to run 2 of the 3 in a dual 2400 build.
Luckily I don't like the Z-95 that much (I'll pay the 3 pts for a refit proto for boost/extra agil die after aces comes out) so I only need the one Z-95 for now, the Defenders/E-wings though will kill me, buying 2 Defenders (+1 from Imdaar)and 3 E-wings will be a set back
Attack 4?! What is that thing armed with??!

Sticks and Stones - the one weakness of the Galactic Empire. Remember ROTJ? Massacre. Utter massacre.
Dude! You put a pop-up on your Ewok card pic!?

I host my images on imghost (the website is much more basic than photobucket etc, makes for easy hosting), which isn't the best looking site in the world but it gets the job done! :3

Even supposing crew members are never duplicated, if there are X crew members, two crew slots lead to X^2 - X possible combinations.
Three
crew slots lead to X^3 - 3X^2 + 2X combinations. If X=12 for the Empire (which I think it does), then there are
121
132 [edit for mathfail] combinations of two crew and 1,320 combinations of three crew.

With the Decimator there should be around 16 separate crewmembers for an imperial ship, uniques included.
