I am looking forward to getting the Decimator from wave 5 as I would love a turreted Empire ship. May get a Phantom to try the cloak and I'd love a couple of Headhunters as I remember them with fondness from the TIE fighter video game. However the EU stuff does not interest me and the above are not must have in my wants. For the same reasons I never bought a HWK as it is not really iconic for me.

The only thing I fondly remember about Headhunters is how easy they were to destroy.
That One Guy,
Me too hence would like to recreate those heady days.
On the other had I would really hate people running Dual 2400s (with Dash+Leebo) than people running Han+Chewie as dual 1300s (I really could care less about Lando as he could have had his own 1300 after the Falcon, Or so I tell myself)
The reason I never got a second YT-1300, it just felt wrong. Also, I was sure the YT-2400 was coming down the line and that I could try a double YT then. Looks like the wait is almost over.
Anybody else want the Rouge Shadow to be the future cloaking ship the Stygium Particle Accelerator non unique status hints at?
The dreaded ROUGE shadow!

Looks more pink to me...

The YT-1300 was hardly a unique ship though, modified ones more so than stock versions apparently. I do look forward to the YT-2400 being added to the stable though and hope that they might even add the YT-2000 one day or the somewhat different looking YT-1760 but won't hold my breath for them.

I know all that. But Han, Chewie and Lando never got a second one. That's what feels wrong. Not to see 2 YT-1300 together. My smuggler was flying one back in the day I was playing the WEG RPG, just like every smuggler in the Galaxy. That, and the Ghtroc.
So, I typically read through all of what's been posted before posting myself, but I just became aware of W5 announcement, and 25 pages is quite a bit to read through.
A few observations / questions...
-Note there is a new rules cards in the VT49 (UGH?)... I wonder what the heck it's for...
-There also appears to be a unique modification in the YT-2400 (Expe____ Int____)... But then again, the YT-2400 doesn't have a modification rules card, so I have no clue what it'd be then, but the italic text clearly starts with M.
-There appears to be a Modification that is YT2400 only (Co____ Mea_____)... the Modification text is off to the left, indicating there is something else on the line, which in the past has always been "<ship name> Only"
-The YT2400 has a boost reference card, yet nothing revealed is engine upgrade. While it's possible the one hidden card is EU, I highly doubt that, which would indicate one of the unspoiled cards has a boost like ability (similar to R7-T1)... There are at least 2 unspoiled cards that have the Action: text on them.
-The VT49 has a VT49 modification only card (Ta____ Ja____)
-In the past, they've spoiled the "first" maneuver on the dial (1 left turn / 1 left bank)... I can't remember if this is from the spoiler page or from the "coming soon" page that they do this... but that would be interesting if both of these ships did not have 1 speed maneuvers.
-The YT-2400 comes with ion tokens, but no ion weapon...

In the past, the rules for Mods and Titles were in the rules insert for Large ships and I believe Imperial Aces.
I think it is really too early to guess what the restrictions for the new Mods are. The only restriction we have on a Modification (not title) is Large Ship only. The spacing clearly points to something else being there, but in the past, the restriction was written before Modification. Also, it seems unlikely for them to pack 2 of them if they only apply to the ship you get them.
Edited by SithborgAlso TIE phantom only. ACD.
I keep thinking it is funny people keep posting "I remember this ship from this video game fondly so I will buy it but the EU stuff has no interest for me." That ship that you remember from that video game is an EU ship. I do realize this game is based on the X-wing game itself, but there are alot of Star Wars video games none of them are obscure whether you played them or not. Shadows of the Empire was suppose to be a movie they even got as far as casting I think and then nothing happened. It had its own book, a video game, and I think comic book series. The VT was in Star Wars Galaxies it was The Star Wars MMO until The Old Republic alot of people played it over its long life span(I think 10 years) and it had a very dedicated following.
I never flew the VT in SWG as I played neutral or rebel my 1 imperial character didn't last too long before I quit playing SWG(I quit because my grades required me to quit at the time) I will get this ship as it is in this game. Same with the outrider.

I am Very Interested in the EU stuff (as well as the Outrider) I just wish the E-wing/Tie Defender showed up more in the EU
So the ranks of the Decimator Commanders are PS4 Captain, PS6 Commander, PS8 Rear Admiral. Interesting... in the American Navy, Captains are higher rank than Commanders. Guess its different in the Empire.
Except it could be Commodore instead of Commander!

I wasn't implying anything about anyone. I have just seen so many of those posts starting with wave 4 and now especially in wave 5 where both ships are from a video game. Though the YT-2400 could be from any number of sources.
Its more the "I am attached to this EU ship because of a video game" and the disconnect that it is an EU ship and then turning around and saying they have no interest in EU ships. That I was commenting on, as well as some of the It wasn't in a movie so I won't buy it mentality some have put forth. Yes it isn't in a movie but it is in this game that you do play.
Also of note wave 5 comes out after the disney announcement of everything from here on out is cannon. So from where I am sitting, unless FFGs liscence means they can produce ships, and crew cards without approval, These ships are Canon and so are Mara Jade, and Ysanne Isard. Even if their stories never happend.
I notice that "Tactical Jack" (or whatever it is) also has the "Modfication" text offset. So guessing there is some restriction on it and "Counter Measures" in terms of use.

I always got the impression that the X-Wing was going to be phased out in favor of newer fighters like the E-Wing, but upstairs clamped down on it.

Star Wars uses the traditional rank structure pretty loosely. For example, Han becomes a general four years after being a contracted smuggler, and In some of the EU, General Salm reports to Admiral Akbar. Further, the shuttle pilots are Captain Kagi (8), Colonel Jendon (6), and Captain Yorr (4), so the more skilled pilot is not necessarily the ranking pilot.
Captain Kagi/Yorr and Colonel Jendon are probably the same rank level. Captain Kagi and Yorr are naval/fleet officers and Colonel Jendon is an Imperial Army officer. The two ranks are of similar level in the two services. (Similar to RL)
I suppose that means the PS4 Captain could be an Imperial Army/Stormtrooper Captain which would be equivalent to a Lieutenant in naval ranks.
I do concede the point that skill level does not necessarily correlate with rank.

Captain Kagi's a better pilot than Colonel Jendon. It's not rank, it's skill.
ok I have to say this stuff looks awesome, but can we please play with the wave 4 stuff before making us drool over wave 5!?!?!?!?!?!

Refused!
If they didn't want us to speculate, they would not have shown the cards!
Btw Ta____ Ja____ could be Tactical, Tactics or Target, Targeting, and either Jammer, Jack (or Janitor XD... As in Space Janitors!)
