What an ugly ship: VT-49 Decimator (or as my FLGS called it the "Deficator"). No visible paint other than the lasers, looks like a box. I think FFG could have jazzed it up a bit.

I LOVE the profile, though. Quite an aggressive shape. Not much of a painter, but will probably get one of my buddies who plays Warhammer to give it an epic repaint.
Also it looks like another shake up to this wave is that the Decimator has 3 named pilots, and not 2. Furthermore, that PS 4 named pilot also has an EPT slot like the two higher PS guys.
Same as many larges. Hope the EPT stuff continues for the really impressive ships. Never made sense that the better ships weren't getting better pilots.
So far the YT1200 is the only large ship to have 3 named pilots all with EPT though, and Chewie is awfully effective because of it.
I still don't get this
Lando Crew card has a 14% (16%?) of getting nothing for your action. It's 3 points and you will most likely end up with ether a focus or a evade.
Kyle Crew card will sometimes give you a free focus (when u remove stress). 3 points and sometimes you will get a focus.
Why would anyone use these card that unique and rebel only and for the same price you could get Recon Specialist! Which WILL give you a extra focus everytime you focus.
If anyone has a idea where Lando or Kyle are more effective please tell me! Maybe it just sitionantional?
Kyle is more effective than recon specialist if you loose your action. Or if you have no use for the second focus token. Or if you do not want to perform a focus action.
Remove stress with green maneuver, Kyle gains you a focus token, barrel roll action, PTL for TL action and stress. Repeat next round.
Lando might give you evade tokens. Recon specialist does not do that. With 1 agility focus tokens for defense are not likely to do much. Lando might be better than recon specialist on ships with 1 agility.

Except for the one I just pointed out and that everyone pounced on to correct, but you still somehow missed.

its also the possibility of 2 Evades for a given turn, Have you played against a PTL falcon with the title+C3PO? it is a HUGE pain in certain sensitive regions to try to kill a Falcon with 2 Evades per turn
As far as Dials go, I think the Outrider may be fairly close to the Falcon after all I remember Dash and Han having a bit of a rivalry about how the Falcon was a hair faster than the Outrider

Ok so you have a chance of 2 evades, or 1 focus, or nothing i'm not gonna change it when i could get 2 focuses everytime. I just don't see me using Lando at all.

I can see Kyle being used that way, but not really any other. So i guess hes sitionationally good.
But with Lando even with a 1 agility ship, you get a focus for attack, and each time you defend you have a 25% chance of rolling a focus (not to mention asteroids and range 3). So i still think Lando has no use, next to recon. The one use he would have is the Decimator, but 2 focuses would most of the time be a waste (range 3, asteroids again) but Lando is Rebel only. Which is another perk of Recon.
If anyone has build where there using Lando crew please show me, because can't find a use for him.
EDIT: Found a use for Lando. If you are already using all you recon specialist cards.
Edited by Imperial RebelSorry, Lando is fun. I like fun. Lando will be in a lot of my builds.
+1 for fun. I also can, at times, enjoy fun. It is also fun to decide between Han Falcon with Chewie and Lando onboard, Lando Falcon with Han and Chewie onboard, or Chewie Falcon with Han and Lando. This game is awesome.

Nah, on one, and even 2 agility ships Lando is a beast. Yes he takes a risk, but for that risk you get the chance to fully evade a 3 hit attack with C-3PO. Beyond that, consider this. He' like rolling two evades a turn. And lastly, picture this. A flacon with Lando and Recons spec and Push the Limit. Between 2 and 4 focuses a turn, and 0 and 2 evades a turn. As for kyle, he' clearly designed to work with Jan Ors, who stresses herself every turn, and so gets a bonus focus every time she takes a green. That lets her make good use of the blaster turret, even if she gets blocked, which she is very easy to action deny.

Another consideration: You could get double evade, focus/evade, and double focus, or one of them, or nothing. It's a gamble, but it's all for the price of one action. With Push the Limit, you can ALSO target lock, gain ANOTHER focus, or gain ANOTHER evade from the Falcon Title, as you've declared Lando as your action. I'm liking Lando and Gunner in the Falcon, you could have multiple modified attacks, multiple modified defenses, or one or more of each. It's good.
Personally, Lando is going to be fun in a HWK with the Moldy Crow title. Really tough to land damage, or stocking up Focus for a rainy day (if not already used). And Lando and C-3PO are going to be really, really annoying on the Falcon. The question is, are the 4 pts worth it on a B-wing?

It could conceivably significantly increase the longevity of a B-wing. COULD. So, I think the argument between Lando and C-3PO is similar to that of the Stealth Device vs Hull Upgrade. Lando COULD net you a large number of focus or evades.
Stealth device COULD cancel quite a few damage. Hull Upgrade guarantees one extra hit point, C-3PO all but guarantees a negated hit every turn, assuming 1 agility.
I love Lando given the Push the Limit or Action Passing possibilities. On a Falcon with Gunner, the title, and Push the Limit, you can declare Lando as your action, net one or more tokens, and then perform the same action that you just received the tokens for. You could get three focus, three evades, or some combination of the two for use with multiple attacks or defenses. Or with Lando and Recon Spec, you could net up to four Focus Tokens. Either option could definitely add some offensive power or some defensive longevity.

Well thats fine and all but I like my chances of rolling something with lando better than rolling a focus on one die to spend that extra focus

well using lando on a B-wing means you get 2 "bonus" chances for an evade

Oh, I am fully in the giving Lando a try group. Forgot to mention that. Really looking forward to putting him in my B-wings, Falcons, and Outriders.
C-3PO all but guarantees a negated hit every turn, assuming 1 agility.
This is a common misunderstanding. Guessing zero on a 1-agility ship has a 5/8 chance to get an evade from C-3P0. 3/8 of the time C-3PO does nothing, since you rolled an evade. There's some value in consistency, but the better way to look at it is that C-3P0 gives you 5/8 of an evade every turn, assuming you always use it on a base-agility roll. And obviously that average goes down considerably if you have more than one green die.
So with that in mind Lando gives you an average of 6/8 of an evade every turn along with an average of half a focus token that can potentially be spent for more evades, but costs your action. How good a trade this is will depend on how many actions you get each turn. If you have a single action then you're probably better off taking a focus action and C-3P0. If you already took a focus action and have a second action (from PTL/Cracken/etc) then you're better off taking the title card, using the evade action, and putting C-3PO in the crew slot.
Where Lando will be effective is when you have two actions available on a non-Falcon ship. You can't take the title card for your second action, and Lando gives you better defense than C-3PO as long as you have that second action available to use him. IMO Farlander is going to be an interesting option, he should have plenty of actions available (including the "focus" ability from removing a stress token) and is expensive/important enough to justify paying for crew. A HWK could in theory be a decent ship, since C-3P0 isn't very effective and focus tokens are much nicer with multiple green dice, but getting multiple actions there is not easy.
Edited by iPeregrineSo the ranks of the Decimator Commanders are PS4 Captain, PS6 Commander, PS8 Rear Admiral. Interesting... in the American Navy, Captains are higher rank than Commanders. Guess its different in the Empire.
Not necessarily. Who is likely to be the better pilot, the lower ranking gut who flies combat missions all the time or the higher ranked guy who has the authority to keep himself safe most of the time.
The admiral's level may just be an exceptional individual, or, more likely, a flag officer with an elite personal pilot who does the actual flying for him.

To add to that, the talented pilot who took out the first Death Star was low man on the totem pole. He's PS8, what do you imagine his rank was?
