Mini vent and angry at dice monkeys

By Green Rabid Monkey, in X-Wing

So tonight a group of us decided to try an epic game with the new Tantive IV. we each get 150pts to use for a total of 300 per side....

Well the game was so bloody one sided and not because of ships....but due to dice. My partner and I could never roll evades or hits....no joke. On one roll I rolled 4 focus, spent the target lock and rolled another 4 bloody foci, and our opponents were rolling 3 crits and hit on 4 dice, straight up, no focus, or fl.....and vice versa for evade dice.....our opponents felt horrible for us and even could not comprehend the odds of what was happening. Yes we even swapped dice and prayed to the dice monkeys and threatened to put the dice in the microwave afterwards, it was that bad.

At the end of the game the imperials won with an interceptor and bomber left in the table, and everyone agreed that even if we had hit even 20% of the time or evaded, we would of wiped the dirty imps off the board. The one opposing player said the only thing that kept us even remotely n the game was that we were veteran players and were using every flyng trick we knew in the book.

Ok so long story short, has anyone had such a game where you wanted to take a sledge to every model n the table or in sight?

Hm, I think you may have mistakenly wound up with some of tintip's dice.

FFG tests all of their dice thoroughly before they put them on the market. Those dice found to be skewed towards ill-fortune are all supposed to be made available to him. You may need to contact FFG's customer service (which I hear is great) so that those dice can be sent to their proper owner.

Sounds like everything was happening as expected. Don't you know the dice are manufactured at the Kuat yards? How else would the empire have lasted as long as it did?

I also had one attack, rolled 4 dice...all blanks. Used a TL, all 4 were blank again,...that was all night thru 11 turns

Your dice were strong with the Dark Side.

They are strong with the blowtorch tomorrow

Some days everything goes wrong... Wedge, range one onto a damaged tie.... no damage. Sontir Fell with stealth device one-shotted by an x-wing range 3 through an asteroid.

Murphy's law people, you should be familiar with it by now. I myself has certainly felt His (Murphy is the only TRUE god) wrath. One particular Flames of war session I failed a 4+ test 14 times! The odds of that happening is only 0.0061 %. I am now legendary in my gaming club.

Clearly you have not sacrificed enough junk food to the dice gods and they are angry.

Played Wednesday and lost badly, my poor imps could not get hits never mind crits but the filthy rebels could not miss it happens, I've used the same dice and won multiple games so it's just bad luck not the dice themselves.

It seems like the averages almost evened out if only 1 Bomber and 1 Interceptor were left on the table :P

I joke! It sure is frustrating!

My least favorite was when running a Buzzsaw Shuttle (FCS, Gunner, Engine), line up Range 1 with a red 2 Turn, roll 4 blanks/focus. Get the TL and use Gunner, 4 blanks/focus, reroll with TL, 1 hit 3 blanks.

The B Wing I was shooting had 1 hp. He rolled an evade. Thank goodness my Range 3 Tie Fighter was able to roll 2 hits.

It happens

I've had it happen before. It sucks.

I remember rolling 11-13 dice. Attacking an awing with a Firespray and few other ships. Not a single hit. Couldn't believe it. I Remember I set it up nicely. Had him right where I wanted him. That round I expected to have killed at least one maybe even two

Then he turned around and one shots two of my ties.

Had a bad streak fire awhile. Was so mad almost through the dice in the woods

Oh I know it happens, I've had cold snaps with dice before.....this was just 3 hours of not rolling crap

Maybe I the dice gods were angry cause I walked 2 hours to the game store and haven't had junk food in a while lol....I was being to healthy!
