If you only had three ship types for the faction(s) you play, what would they be?

Mine are Alliance: X-Wing, B-Wing, and Falcon. Empire: Tie Fighter, Tie Interceptor, and Firespray.

What are your "Must Haves?"

Rebel:

1) B-wing.

2) B-wing.

3) B-wing.

Imperial:

1) B-wing.

2) B-wing.

3) B-wing.

Lately I've been digging on Bomber, Lambda, Interceptor for the Imperials.

For the Rebels maybe X, B, HWK.

If you can't tell I've got a soft spot in my heart for ships that are deemed the weakest link.

Except the Advanced.

Burn it.

Imperial: interceptor, Firespray, tie fighter

Rebel: X Wing, B wing, A Wing

I wasn't really sure on the last rebel one, but I say A wing even though I don't play it much just because it's the most maneuverable rebel ship.

Still don't beat that interceptor though

I think I fly Rebel too much as I dont fly Imperial ships with less than 6 HP haha

Imperial: TIE interceptor, TIE fighter, Firespray-31

Definitely a tough question to answer, and my opinion is very likely to change when I get my hands on the Wave 4 ships.

For my picks I'd have to say A-wing, B-wing and YT for the Rebels and TIE Bomber, TIE Interceptor and Firespray-31.

When I first saw the title I thought you asked about Falcons. Picking three for the Rebs is easy, until Wave 4 these are my a Rebel go to ships. With the Imps it is grader the Lambda is close to my heart, but I am comming to really like the firespray. Same with bombers and the good ole ln. I love them both, but that twin hull just looks so dang cool...

Interceptors though.. I loved them before aces, now I have a hard time not flying them.

This is a tough choice. I have to balance between fun level, thematic ships, and what has the most replay-ability (X-wings have many more pilots than B-wings, for example).

Rebels: X-wing, A-wing, Y-wing.

Empire: TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber.

I think those 6 ships would offer a wide range of options to both factions, plus they are all pretty good. The loss of B-wings hits the Rebels pretty hard, but the X-wing is a fine substitute.

Nice replies. I am happy to see that we love X-Wings and Tie Interceptors. They are the best looking ships in the entire game IMO.

I mean i like supposedly weaker ships like Y-Wings and make them shine. I like Gold Ionwings and Dutch a lot too. But the Advanced i really don't see any use for them, except Vader and then only if i really am in the mood... But no i will still take some more Fighters for the points!

I really love the HWK, but I think it falls short of this list because ORS is a thing.

The only thing the X does better than the B is the named pilots. Otherwise I'd take the BR and the 8 health every day. The Y is too great of a resource for it to be sitting on as many people's shelves as it currently is... ICT, R3A2, and 8 health... need I say more? And then the A is the best closer in the game imo. While some would argue that the /in is better, I say the 2 shields and the extra health give a strong advantage to the A wing. F+E, and with Boost action, means that there'll only be R1 shots if you want them, so with a 3 dice max, and an evade token, the expected dmg is .3, and it can't exceed 2, so no chance of a 1 shot.

Rebel:

1. B Wing

2. YT-1300

3. Y Wing

If the B Wing isn't in your Rebels list you're simply not understanding the game.

hehe Not rude, it's a pretty solid statement. The current World Champion got his title using a 2x B-Wing, 2x X-Wing list and, surely enough, at our small (10 players) Assault at Imdaar Alpha tournament, the top 2 players were also using BBXX lists...
