So let's say I have ship with these two abilities. I use Adv Sensors to barrel roll, PTL to focus, now I get a stress. Next I reveal my dial and follow through -- what if I chose a red maneuver, say k-turning.

In this situation, do I receive a second stress? Does my opponent choose my maneuver? Am I just plain not allowed to do that?

I doubt you would not be allowed to do it, unless it's in a FAQ somewhere, but I don't remember seeing that.

You cannot perform a red manoeuvre whilst stressed. Thus you would hand your dial to your opponent and he would choose any white (or possibly green if he feels like it) manoeuvre.

Stress:

"If a ship already has a stress token assigned to it

and it reveals a red maneuver during the Activation

phase, the opposing player chooses any non-red

maneuver on that ship’s dial for the ship to execute."

Since you acquired a stress from PTL prior to revealing your maneuver dial, you can not perform a red maneuver. However, you can remove the stress from a revealed green maneuver.

Only if they reveal a red maneuver while stressed.

If you manage to inflict stress on someone after he set is maneuver dial to a red maneuver but before he reveals it, you are golden. Cannot think of a way to do it, though.

The FAQ helpfully points out that Saboteur can do it by flipping a Thrust Control Fire.

Outside of Advanced Sensors uses, you could potentially do it to yourself with Yorr by pulling a stress from a lower-PS ship before he activates.

No other scenarios come to mind for this, although we may get more action-based stress inducers as time goes on.
