I have a dilemma. After a very poor performance at AoIA and the impending release of Wave 4, I realized that it is probably time to start afresh with a new squad. I am humbly seeking the insight of all others who have more experience and better perspective than myself. This is actually my one and only serious build since I began playing the game. I have dabbled with an XXBB build but kept reverting back to my original. I love the challenge of flying a swarm. So I am looking to keep a swarm element while incorporating the Defender or Phantom. Where I consistently play big ship builds (dual/triple falcons/lambdas/firesprays)are fairly prevalent, so I need a build that is a bit more robust as well. I realize success in this game requires good piloting skills and it isn't always about what build a player has. Nevertheless, what are everyone's thoughts? How are you going to incorporate/anticipate change in meta with Wave 4? Thanks for reading and commenting!

That said, Build parameters suggest that your best bet is
Named Phantom with Vet Instincts and Advanced Cloak. 35-37 points.
Basic Defender.
Two Ties of your choice, up to and including Generic Bombers with Flechettes or Alpha squad squints paired with an academy.

One quick tweak to your squad is to switch Fel out for Phennir.
I simply think Phennir uses Push the Limit more effectively, by triggering it off of his free-action after he shoots.
I assume you meant 3x AP since the team you just posted is 112pts.
one change you could do once Wave 4 hit is switching Fel and Dark Curse for Rexler with Engine Upgrade and Predator, and give Swarm tactic to Howlrunner. This would give you the robust shipyou want that has a lot of maneuvrability and hit hard, while keeping the mini swarm alive.
