Do you have a sound track that would describe a dog fight?

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

I was thinking also queen

But that dates me ;-p

Would it be bad form to crank "We Are The Champions" after every win?

Nope. Play "We Will Rock You" before every match too.

Rains of Castamere as you set up if you're playing Imperial.

Its always Yakety Sax for me.

I quite like the Wing Commander Soundtracks while Dogfighting. That's the Game not the Movie.. although the Movie soundtrack has a few good Scores.

and as mentioned "Highway to the Danger zone" also the Main Theme both from Top Gun.

Or. For sheer heroic music loosely linked to the above post it all starts about a minute in.

So I have to ask, seeing as this thread totally brought the question to mind.

Is listening to the Star Wars soundtrack too over-the-top when playing? Or just been done to death?

Most games I've played have only had the sound of other X-Wing games or Magic games going on in the background.

You all make me proud to be an x-wing player.

Can't figure out how to embed videos.. any help??

Just add the http:/www. Infront of the link it will embed.

On the topic of videogame music, the Wipeout HD soundtrack strikes me as a good selection:

I think it's the latter ("done to death"). Not that the sound tracks are no longer appreciated, just sometimes you have to throw in some Rick Astley every so often to spice things up. (yes, Rick Astley.)

Rick Astley? That would be like spicing things up with a side of soggy lettuce... :-)

And yet Kimchee is still a thing

The Bee-Gees. "Stayin' Alive"

Yup. Tell me you wouldnt do your best John Travolta with your range ruler as your pointer finger.

I say again, yup.

Really, no one went for it yet?

Aces High by Iron Maiden.

I always think of this when someone mentions dogfighting:

That score is one of the most dramatic I've ever heard, especially the bit where Vader duels Luke and loses his arm.

It helps if you've watched the scene from the movie.

And if that gets your blood flowin', there are a couple of Muse tracks I could recommend.

While we are on the topic of Queen.

This is definitely on Vader's Ipod play list while flying.
