What about this list? I love running unusual stuff.

Kyle+ moldy crow+ blaster turret+ recon spec- 31 pts

Tycho +PTL+assault missiles- 34 pts

Proto. Pilot x2- 34 pts

You are pretty light on the damage, only 6 at range 3 and 9 at range 2. You would have difficulty landing hits on an imperial list, and there isn't much stopping the HWK from getting taken out at range.

I think you might be short on firepower. Also Kyle has a massive target on his head in that list. A 1 agility 5 wound ship that makes the others around it (who happen to be much much much harder to hit and that dont have enough offensive output to bump up their target priority) a very juicy target.

Honestly, if I saw that across the table I would aim to wreck Kyle by turn 3 (turn 1 move into range, turn 2 heavily damage Kyle, turn 3 kill him before he gets to fire). Figure 31 points to allocate 2 focus. Not a good deal.

Na if you are going to fly Kyle you need to fly him with stuff that will make him less of a target, or that will defend him better.

Not that I disagree that Kyle is THE juicy target, but he is AGI 2. This list will be much better when Rebel Aces comes out and you can use the Chaardin refit to get some souped up A-Wings.....

Oh it will be fun, no doubt. Its not for tourney use. That's what RGP w/ PTL x4 is for. But non tourney I love weird and crazy lists...

Almost every time I've flown a HWK (and it's fairly often), they tend to get ignored until at least half way through the match.

Gotta say, I was expecting Jan to be the HWK pilot so she could boost the A-wings attack. I don't know the math offhand but 3 dice with TL or focus must be better than 2 dice with TL and focus, right?

Yes, it is--and Jan + Ion Cannon Turret is actually cheaper than the typical Kyle build.

The A's need to carry some ordnance for this to have a shot. Maybe give the Hwk Ion Turret to setup the A's to get in range 1 behind and thousand cut them.

Diminishing returns. Each instance of TL/Focus cuts the chance of a miss in half.

Basically, a naked Die has a 4/8 chance of damage, a TL/Focus Die has a 6/8 chance of damage and a TL+F Die has a 7/8 of damage.

This is part of the reason why Squad Leader is a good choice for Darth Vader (and now Tycho Celchu if he takes Push the Limit).

What about

Roark + ICT + C3PO(always call 1 Evade?)

3 x Green + Deadeye + Concussion

I think Chewie is better than C-3PO for Hwk.

Keeping with the A wings have you considered:

Kyle + MC + Blaster Turret + ReconSpecialist

Green Sqd Pilot + Opportunist x 3

That way you can bump the A-wings to three dice plus you won't lose your action as well as shed the stress fairly easily with the A-wing's dial

Also if you don't have 2 copies of Imperial Aces then you could easily sub in the final 23 points with a myriad of options

• Gold Sqd + Ion Turret
• Red Sqd Pilot
• Tarn Mison

I like this list as well, and may have to change my fun list to this one for a while. But I will miss my PTL'd Tycho (my favortie ship in the game). Also, due to an over zealous me and a very kind wife, I ended up with 4 copies of imperial aces. At least I can actually fly 10 of them in epic play now.
