Stress Squad

By WillisRBC, in X-Wing

Okay, so I'm wanting to make a list of stress inducing shenanigans. So I'm thinking flechette torpedoes and munitions failsafe. I'm torn as to what to put them on. My first thought is 2 Bs and 2 Ys with ion turrets. What do you guys think?

Im doing something like this with my Phantom List.

Omicron Shuttle + Double Tactician

Whisper + VI, ACD, Rebel Captive

Echo + VI, ACD

Depending on what i target i should be able to lock up whatever i deem the major threat long enough for the Phantoms to do their work.

Actually, my building is coming from my anticipation of having to deal with phantoms.

Flèchette torpedoes on everything that can carry it.

R3-a2 probably on a y because then you can stress ion something in your path. Or ion then move next turn to stress attack.

I once ran a shuttle with an ion cannon, gunner, and tactician.

If the target is in that range 2 sweet spot, your attack will leave him with a stress token and an ion token or two stress tokens minimum.

I was more asking what combination of ships people thought would work best.

I'm thinking of running this as my anti-phantom list.

I haven't playtested it (as obviously parts are unreleased) so im not sure whether to run all 4 ships together or pair biggs with the y and and the rookie with the ORSmglr:

============
Anti-phantom
============
100 points
Pilots
------
Rookie Pilot (21)
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Gold Squadron Pilot (25)
Y-Wing (18), R3-A2 (2), Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Outer Rim Smuggler (29)
YT-1300 (27), Tactician (2)
One thought about not having flechette torpedoes is that this is a low ps build and so the phantom would have a pretty easy time staying out of firing arcs once target locked.

R3-A2 is another one that would be easy enough to avoid the firing arc to avoid the stress. I wasn't building JUST to hunt phantoms, but the phantom will be a real threat soon enough.
