Inventory App/Sheet/Program?

By RedstarNYC, in X-Wing

I'm very new to the game, but thanks to a good trade I've come into a few more ships than I expected a lot sooner than I expected.

I see all the squadron builders, which is great, but can anyone recommend an inventory program? I want to be able to keep track of what I have.

thanks in advance

Voidstate has a collection feature where you can put in how many of each ship you own. Not sure if that's what you have in mind or not.

This was my thought as well.

Thanks. Can you save your collection as well, or do you need to re-enter it each time.

It saves it, you log in using your facebook account, but it doesn't publish anything to it, so no spam there.

One of two, my friend ;)

I don't know of anything that works without Facebook, but you could go to, say, http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/ and make a "squad" out of all the ships you have, then save the permalink somewhere. There's also Team Covenant, which has a list of all the expansions and their cards available (at least, I think I saw that on the TC site), which could help you out. Or, if it isn't too late already, save the little paper bits that come in the back of the expansions that have the contents and maneuvers on them, maybe.

I was wondering who the missing two were, and here you both are. :D

You could always sign up for a free GMail acccount, use that to sign up to Facebook and never upload any pictures, go on the actual Facebook site or make friends with anyone. That way you get to use Facebook logins but remain anonymous...

Since I never plan on being connected to Facebook (directly or otherwise), I have been in the process of creating an Excel spreadsheet to manage my X-Wing collection.

@RedstarNYC ... I am curious as to what level you would desire such a program to go ... i.e. do you want to maintain a list of ships, all cards, all tokens, etc. etc.? Give me some ideas, and I would be happy to incorporate them.

@any2cards... I'm fairly new to the game, but a master ship manifest as well as card listing would be great. As I buy expansions its hard to keep straight what I do and don't have.

So essentially nothing insane, just an inventory would be great.

There is an Excel spreadsheet on this page that I have used in the past to keep track of my stuff. You might have to update it to record the new ships. It was nice though because it had all the dials and cards included in the sheet. At the very least you could maybe update it and upload it for the rest of us.

I just wrote mine down with old fashioned paper and pencil. also did the same with a word doc with listings of what I have on preorder and the order number. I also have a word doc with cut and pasted squads that folks have posted on here that i want to try..

Its definitely a great start. I am in the process of updating it now. I will share it with all when it is done.

I have spent the better part of a day creating a spreadsheet to manage my X-Wing Miniatures Inventory. To give credit where credit is due, I visited the page provided by @Azul above, and reviewed the spreadsheets available. I leveraged ideas from several of them when creating mine.

I have included everything to date, including mentioning the Wave 5 stuff. At this point in time, I do not allow you to enter data for Wave 4, Rebel Aces, or Wave 5, as I am still in the process of working on that.

If you get a chance, please download the spreadsheet and give it a test drive. If you find any issues, mistakes, have suggestions, please provide them. I will do my best to accommodate you.

I was struggling to find a way to host the file to make it available for download. I am currently using a Dropbox site. Hopefully the link below works:

Why not have a Facebook account with as little personal information as possible and a rarely-used email address associated with it?
