Can a Phantom decloak if it is ioned? You decloak before revealing your dial. But when you are ioned you don't reveal a dial. Not sure if you have the option to decloak as a result.

When you are Ioned, you don't get to perform effects that trigger upon the revelation of your maneuver dial, as you do not get to reveal your maneuver dial.

This means No Decloak, No Advanced Sensors, and No Seismic Charges/Proton Bombs.

Hmm, but you decloak BEFORE anything else, even revealing your dial. So surely you could decloak, then do the 1 white forward for being ioned.

It says it isnt an action or a maneuver, and Ion only stops you assigning a dial. Deloaking doesnt say you have to have a dial set, just says you do it before you would reveal it.

So, it could mean you have to have a reveal to do in order to decloak, so you couldnt if ioned.

You dont NEED a dial assigned in order to decloak, so you could decloak then do the white 1 and then carry on as normal.

"Before you reveal your maneuver dial" is the phrase used for Decloak, Bomb-Drops, and Advanced Sensors.

FFG has ruled that to perform these, you must have assigned a maneuver dial to reveal.

You do not assign a maneuver dial when you are Ioned, therefore you cannot reveal it, therefore there is nothing for the "Before" phrase to trigger off of.

As you do not assign a maneuver dial there is no "before you reveal your dial trigger". FFG already found and addressed this so Ion may spell doom to a few Phantom Players.

Ya know what? Better to be able to get Ion'd and stay cloaked than to get Ion'd and forced to decloak.
