If you draw fire, do shields still work? Or do you just take damage? I assume shields will offset that hit, but...

If you have shields they take the crit.

That is what Luke is for with draw their fire, shield upgrade and R5-P9. I use that in my 3 amigos build. Biggs with R2-D2 and shield upgrade. Wedge with R3-A2. All crits go to Luke who uses focus to regen. Slight new take on a classic build.

Draw Their Fire changes who suffers the damage.

If the pilot suffering damage has a shield, that shield bites the dust, and the damage is suffered.

If the pilot suffering damage does not, that pilot receives a face-up damage card, and the damage is suffered.

Draw Their Fire does not change who is hit, incidentally. Even if Howlrunner takes no damage because the Crit was suffered by someone else, she would still lose her stealth device.

Just to clarify for myself; if Luke has 1 hull left can he still regen shields. I assume so. Therefore, it is possible to have Luke with 1 hull and 2 shields yeah? Obviously, he can't regen hull points.
