New Star Wars battlefront right now a EA press conference
So excited can't spell at correct.
2015 spring
Curse I'm at work!
No link to it? why you do this.

Guess I missed it? it's Dragon age now.
Eh, I'm honestly not really excited. It is EA we're talking about, and Battlefield has gotten progressively worse (IMO) since they took over. I wasn't really impressed with the old SW: Battlefront games, either.
Mass effect 4....
Oops that's not a Star Wars thing.
That is a bit disappointing that EA is the company making it. I will of course hold judgement until I see or perhaps rent the game.

Might be the only chance to fly Starfighters in the near future. As much as I want to play it, I hope its not rushed. The last BF was rushed and was hard to even enjoy.
The presentation was only behind the Scenes footage with how the devs went to the archives, and the filming locations (Norway and Sequoia National Park) to gain inspiration, with a small morsel of a trailer, if you would call it that. The last bit was them saying, "See more Spring 2015." Are we gonna have it in stores in 2015, or not? That looks like it's still mid-production, to me. I'll be happily surprised if it actually does drop in Spring, 2015.

It's being developed by DICE, the same people who make the actual Battlefield games. You know, the good ones. Maybe now it won't be a dumbed down third-party imitation of Battlefield with Star Wars skins. I expect there will be much more variety and customization, though whether or not we'll be able to mount scopes on our lightsabers is anyone's guess.
Edited by WonderWAAAGHIt's DICE who is in charge of development, and it looks phenomenal.. Honestly, I was worried that the game might disappear like 1313 did when Disney bought out Lucasfilm, but I'm glad to see it in development still. Early video footage looks excellent. Nice to see they've gone to the archives to model ships/costumes/weapons after the original models used in the movies. With this coming in 2015, maybe they'll tie it in to the Rebels cartoons as well, and with a 2015 release date, you can almost guarantee DLC from Episode VII.
I'm excited. Regardless of EA being the parent company, the fact is that Disney still owns Star Wars, and I can't imagine they'll let a game like Battlefront be released that was as buggy as BattleFIELD 4. It's still at least a year away. Hopefully that gives them plenty of opportunity to polish it. Especially considering it was originally announced at E3 last year. That means at LEAST 2+ years of development on this game. Here's hoping they give us the game we deserve!

Wonderwaagh how nice you did not make fun of my posts ;-p
Need to scratch that itch! Does anyone know if Star Wars Battlefront II still has multilayer available on PC?
I will look when I get home
I have my ps2 set up in my guest room but I guess that will not work.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I love the BF series. But after BF3 decided to stop working after an update (would spawn without guns every time I joined a match and no amount of reinstalling the game and clear the cache would fix it), and BF4 having net-code issues and some pretty nasty crashes (not sure if they've fixed it), I'm holding out till it's been out and all the nasty bugs have been revealed. I'm stoked, just not too stoked. For now.
It's an EA game. Wait a month to get it...
