I am unable to confirm this via the rule book. Right now we are playing that the cards are milled face down. If they are supposed to be milled face down, can the corp look at them at anytime still?

You are correct, the cards are milled face down but the corp can look at any card in their archives at any time.
Corp cards do not change their facing status when trashed or discarded. If the runner didnt knew by that time what the card was... he still doesnt know.

This doesn't give a true answer. You may have exposed a card, and thus 'know' what it is, but if it was trashed facedown, it stays facedown.
Best answer I have come up with to date:
If the Runner may legally see the face of the card when trashed, it is trashed face up. If not, it is trashed face down.
If the Runner may legally see the face of the card when trashed, it is trashed face up. If not, it is trashed face down.
That actually sounds like it covers all current effects.
Alternatively I think you could say a card is trashed face down unless
1) it was rezzed at the time or
2) the Runner's the one trashing it

Singularity trashes face-down if unrezzed, even though the runner trashes it.

I was going off this response by Lukas Litzsinger regarding Keyhole, which made sense to me because it also explains why Noise's ability is templated as "the Corp trashes...". I completely forgot about Singularity, though, and don't see any reason to assume it wouldn't trash face down, so I guess you're right.

A exposed card is face down in the game area, so is trashed face down.
Imp allows you to trash the card you are accesing, so you are looking at it and it remains that way in the Archives.
Thats what i mean with the "facing status", if you're already seeing the card.
My second phrase is just an aclaration. You can not get additional info when trashing cards.
