UltimateZing, do you have any fingers left?!? Just the thought of opening 48 blister packs in a couple of weeks makes me want to get the medi-kit out.
Or how many sharp objects that became blunted.

I recently did 13 ships, and it was not fun. I do have the pre-orders staggered through a couple of places, so hopefully I won't be doing them all in one sit down. With the new things I bought to organize pieces though, it should cut down the time it takes to organize all the little bits.
Zing, show me how you carry all that!

I'll get a picture once my cell phone has a charge, but right now, the only things I don't carry are two of the Corvettes, one of the Transport, and a bag of excess tokens. I do managed to get it all in two Plano 732s, a black shoulder strapped bag, and a new zip up portfolio.
Edit: Here's the photo

Haha, whats worse is all those dials! I hate putting them together.

Dials are the worst, but that's why hard surfaces are a god send when doing many dials.
12 Delta Squadron Tie Defenders with no upgrades = 360 (30 *12)
12 Sigma Squadron Tie Phantoms with no upgrades = 300 (25 *12)
12 Knave Squadron EWings with no upgrades = 324 (27 *12)
27 Apha Squadron Tie Interceptors with no upgrades = 486 (18*27) (I'm not sure any ruleset will allow you to field 27 of any ship, ever)
Each of those basically exceeds the epic point total. I know you are saying that you expect a 1200 point format, but they haven't announced anything close to that yet. 1200 points would be a lot of fun, but why buy enough for 1200 points before it's announced? Your commitment is really impressive, but aren't you overshooting it a little? I mean unless you know someone else with that level of commitment, wouldn't a 1200 point game be a little lopsided? I think most people would need to use most if not all of their ships to field a 1200 point list, and they'd be using a lot of weird ships to fill out 1200. You could probably field a 2400 point list with all your ships. You'd have WAY more flexibility than your opponent. You've certainly spent the money for it, but would that make for an enjoyable game for your opponent? You may struggle to find people willing to play against your collection at that level.
Honestly though, I think it's great, seriously. Knowing someone is out there with a collection that big is terrific.

Because not every game is played under the official rules. The base concept of a game, in itself, is both people having a contest under a set of agreed rules beforehand. Just because FFG itself does not announce a format does not mean you cannot play it, such as a 1200 point game (I also note that I probably will be providing for the other side of the field for this game). Much like a campaign mode.
Also, on the Interceptors, it's moreso I will have 12 of the Royal Guard color scheme, 12 of the Blood Stripes, and eventually, 12 of the naked TIE Interceptor. that I can mix n match between.
whoa that sig!! I mean, I love Squints but 26??? wow... and only 6 bombers?? Gonna have to catch up there!
Do know what you mean though, especially if they announce more huge ships. I try to resist but the search for ultimate power continues
I dunno, just try to resist buying 26 of whatever they announce next?
it's 27, 12 imperial aces and 3 of the normal interceptor. Oddly enough, I paid less per box of imperial aces ($13.97) than I did for the normal ones ($16.04 after tax)
....
in case you didn't know, just because something is cheaper if you buy it in a dozen it doesn't mean in summary you pay more ![]()
(unless you actually need all of them
)

It wasn't because I bought a dozen that the price dropped, a website had made what I presume to be a calculation error on exactly what to charge on them, so thus I went ahead and spent what I was going to elsewhere on just 6 boxes of aces on 12 instead. Said error on site has been fixed

i had originally intended to buy enough TIE fighters to fill a star destroyer with the load out from West End Games RPG
48 TIE fighters
12 TIE bombers
12 TIE Interceptors
i do not ever see myself using that many ships............unless we decide to have a huge space battle on 5x16 table.......
oh yeah, i want this to happen. i will let my buddies use my transport and CR90 and all my rebel scum ships............
yes, it would be an epic battle!!!!!!
