n00b questions
Not quite sure what your asking in your first question, not really sure what a blank upgrade is, but whatever it shows in a upgrade bar that ship can upgrade.
That little symbol.
It can only equip one of that upgrade, unless it shows two of the same symbols, then it can equip two.
Modifications can be equips on all ships unless the upgrade says different
When using a target lock, you can choose to re roll as many dice your want. You can re roll focus.
But dice can't be re rolled, so if you use a target lock to re roll, you couldn't user Hans ability to re roll them again.
Some weapons require a target lock to use. Says on the card "spend target lock " so now you take off your target lock, and user the ability.
Since you can only have one target lock on one ship, spending the target lock to fire proton torpedoes, means you don't have a target lock to user to re roll.
However, it is possible you could focus if you target lock last round (target locks stay on the targets going into next round, unlike focus and evades which come off at the end of the round regardless) then focus this round

On the upgrade cards if it doesn't have an icon does... the mean anyone can take it? So like for a Tie Fighter that had one symbol I can take one upgrade of the matching symbol and one of the blank upgrades?
If it doesn't have an icon I assume it is a modification or a title, the card should indicate whether it is one of these. Each ship is limited to 1 modification and 1 title (except for Royal Guard Tie title that allows for 2 different modifications to be equipped). For each upgrade that has an icon, the ship may equip 1 of those upgrades for each of those icons (so a y-wing with 2 torp icons can equip 2 torps).

Ok so that is where I was getting confused then... So the "blank" upgrade cards are the modification cards.
I currently have the starter set, imperial aces, and a B-Wing. and with the Aces I got those cards without the symbol that I assumed where upgrades but didn't know how to equip.
So the Royal Tie I can put 1 upgrade and 2 Modifications.
Awesome gents! Thanks... I had my first bit of a test game last night I'm looking at playing more of the Imperial side of things although I'll collect both just more aggressively collect the Imps.
It was a fun first game Luke in Xwing and Ten Numb in Bwing vs Canor Jax Royal Guard Interceptor, Mauler Mithel, and Dark Curse. Game ended with Jax and Curse still alive with 1 hull point left each. Jax would've kicked it earlier if I hadn't gave him a shield upgrade.
Edited by Sierra62Glad you like it.
It's an awesome game.
Just remember with the royal guard title. It's let's you equip 2 mods instead of one, but you can't equip two of the same type.
So you can't have two stealth device on one ship for example
Edited by Krynn007A target lock allows you to roll as many dice as you want (up to including all) as long as it has not been re-rolled (some abilities allow the defender to force a die reroll). A die can only be rerolled once.
Most torpedoes and missiles need you to spend the target lock to use it. Homing Missiles and Ion Pulse missiles currently allow you to keep the target lock to use.

In the Modifications, you should have got Hull Upgrade, Shield Upgrade and Targeting Computer and these have the crossed spanners on the back. There should be a couple of Royal Guard TIE Titles (with the ship hologram on the back) also and these can go onto ANY TIE Interceptor pilot, but only TIE Interceptors. The Opportunist and Push the Limit cards are Elite Pilot Skills and for these, you have to match the upgrade icons on the pilot cards.
Your B-Wing came with extra weapons (cannons and torpedoes) and systems that can only be used by certain ships. Check these against the Upgrade Bar on the pilot cards when you're choosing your squad and you can't go wrong.
