If that's the case that Wave 4 is dropping next week, then Rebel Aces could drop at Gen Con is a distinct possibility -- I think.

Very possible, use Rebel Aces as a lure to get people if they have a new kit to announce and vice versa, coordinating the hype increases the reach and would increase the sale of Aces (not that every rebel player won't buy at least 1 maybe 2 already as it is and even imperials will probably buy 1 for proton rockets too)

So, this will be my first time getting something from Miniatures Market. Do they usually ship them so that they're in your hand on release day, or do they ship them the day they're available in stores and you have to wait? I have mine coming on 2 day ground shipping, so hopefully they'll be in my hand and playable without skipping a league night.

Do they usually ship them so that they're in your hand on release day, or do they ship them the day they're available in stores and you have to wait? I have mine coming on 2 day ground shipping, so hopefully they'll be in my hand and playable without skipping a league night.

They ship them the official release date, so you have to wait a few days for them to arrive in the mail. They usually ship the same day or the next day if you preorder.

So release pretty much the day before Minnesota regionals? Good thing I won my Phantom...

Hmmm. To me that's been THE question. I can be patient for them to arrive. I just want to know if I can use them in the big tourny. Has there been a regional since the tantive was released? Had the transport already been released prior to any regional tournies? I know some of those x wing pilots have made it into top table list.

I linked to the official event on facebook and the response was from the "FFG event center," which is part of the FFG headquarters So, unless they change their mind or there was a miscommunication, they won't be legal next weekend if they come out before the tourney. At best, I'd plan on two lists. For others, or for how long, who knows.

The other items you mentioned were never identified as "not legal." Maybe they also feel there's a difference between released pilots and upgrades for existing ships and entirely new ships.

The Regional site lists multiple events in multiple countries. Some have taken place already. I'm guessing if Wave 4 wasn't legal for the ones that happened already that it shouldn't be legal for the rest.

I'm sure it's mentioned in the new tournament rules that all products are tournament legal in North America upon their release..?

Either way, you are on a level playing field at regionals. If everyone at your regionals has access to wave 4, then you are at the same advantage as everyone else. It's not like the winner of the very first regionals has to use the EXACT SAME LIST at nationals.
