Where's the FIRE! Flame On!

By aslum, in UFS General Discussion

So, this has been something that's annoyed me since I drafted a Fight Fire with Fire and noticed it didn't have fire.
I've seen more cards since and it kind of ticks me off!
What cards have you seen that really should have the fire resource but don't? I'll add them to my list!

*Fight Fire with Fire
How can you fight fire with fire without fire?! It doesn't make any sense!

*Flames of Fame
Um... I guess the 15 minutes are over and the fire is out.

*Beautiful Purple Flame
The fire in that picture sure isn't purple.

*Rising Dragon Flamefest
The only flaming going on here will be people flaming me for this silly post.

*Cheer and Fire
No wait, just Cheer.

*Yoga Flame
NEITHER the card from the original set nor the new one from Warrior's Dream has flame.

*Kyo's Fire Ball
Iori's has fire...

*Dan's Fireball
Looks more like Dan's Waterball to me.

*Shiranui Flames
Some pretty sweet flames in the picture, but none in the resource box!

* Flames of Fate
*The Purifying Flame
*Nagase's Unrelenting Fire
*Super Fire Wheel

Did I miss any? Let me know and I'll edit this post and add 'em in.

there are even some cards with "fire" in the name and it has a water resource symbol! wtffflol

Kyo does not have fire... NONE of Kyo's toons have fire. That's an injustice in itself

double fail

another fail

uh... i thought its supposed to be an AIR throw not an Earth/Fire throw... meh more to come

N.J.

yay for unintentional notices

The billy cards, Fire Dragon Wheel

Air throw is the name of the attack, because he is in the air when he throws them. It has nothing to do with the resource symbols lol

Also, cards with fire in the name and the water symbol make about as much sense as a whole wealth of SNK characters who are both good and evil at the same time. I suppose it just represents that they are real people, with capacity for both, or something like that lol.

Rising Dragon Flamefest didn't have fire, let alone a fest

on a slightly more aire themed route

Air Pile Driver

Air Stampede

Sakura Air Combo

Take to the Air

yea... about cheer and fire... it has fire... in the form a a bloody flamethrower bottle

There is no Cheer symbol.

Rats! Someone already did Chaos Flare. That's my favorite.

This is also good, but not symbol related.

Kim is so good, he has turned a punch into a kick!

Also, he sure is beating the crap out of that national treasure. Though why anyone would put a stupid block of wood in a Museum is beyond me.

Thunder Clap is a kick... That is all...

I suspect most of you are just kidding, but I dont have a sense of humor, so I'm gonna answer seriously. Who knows, maybe a newbie will read it.

People really, REALLY need to divorce themselves from how an attack is named or portrayed, and the resources that get attached to it. If it has the fire resource, that means one of two things. One, the card has some effect that pumps damage or speed, or two, the character who it belongs to has fire, and likely has an effect that pumps damage and speed. If EVERY attack that either mentioned fire or portrayed a fire effect actually had fire as a resource, something like one third of the attacks in the game would have fire on them, rendering the resource system essentially meaningless.

(And as an aside, KIM is the National TWD Treasure of Korea. That's his nickname from MI2)

My personal favorite, although it's not exactly involved with the fire symbol

SNK01_085_Assault_Type_Epsilon._Atropos.

Slide Tackle

Killing Bite

that is all

Yes, this is entirely humor. ANd I know the treasure is Kim, but that ruins the joke.

Multiple headbutt should be a multiple attack...not a throw

But it *was* a throw...
