That's much sexier.
Interesting choice of words, considering it looks like the proverbial meat and two veg.
Absolutely hideous ship.
I am well aquainted with the DP-20, and I have fond memories of it from some of the older Star Wars computer games. That said, I'm not very interested in building one. Partly because I've always found the design to be fairly odd and somewhat ugly and partly because I suspect it to be rolled out from FFG as an epic ship in the future.
I realize it would be a great addition if they did the cards right.

Looks good to me... however as you have rightly said it is bristling with turrets and is intended to be a gunship, so I would make more heavily armed than the Corvette. Make the main fore weapon the same stats as the Corvette (4 attack, range 3-5) and add a SECOND turret for the aft section. Rather than give it the Concussion Missile slot and then add an "unlimited missiles" upgrade, make a "DP-20 Missile Battery" a hardpoint option at 10 points, which allows it to fire unlimited Concussion Missles from one of it's side arc.
So:
• Fore section has a 4 attack, range 3-5 Dual Turbolaser turret
• Aft section has a 4 attack, range 3-5 Dual Turbolaser turret
• 2 Hardpoints - fire from side arcs, choose from either Corvette options or a new DP-20 Missile Battery hardpoint option (same attack stats as Concussion Missile but unlimited uses, consumes energy, requires Target Lock)
Like I said elsewhere, bipolar flip/flop trolling, based on bias against the OP.
And also watch, like clockwork, the sockpuppet account will reply...3...2..1...

I know you and I have had our differences, but can we all agree to stop interrupting gabe's inner monologue? I want to see how many consecutive posts he can make.
A few MelMiniatures custom cards I wouldn't mind trying with the DP20 or Imperial CR90

When I first calculated the cost of the upgrade cards chosen for the fore and the aft,
and also estimated the values of the fore and aft pilot card, I came up with this.
Darth Vader....................... 3
WED15 Repair Droid......... 2
Gunnery Team................... 4
Single Turbolaser x2......... 16
Quad Laser Cannon x2..... 12
Cluster Missiles.................. 4
Mara Jade.......................... 3
Sensor Team..................... 4
Engineering Team............. 4
Single Turbolaser x2........ 12
Quad Laser Cannon x2.....12
Concussion Missiles..........4
41 points in upgrades for the fore
43 points in upgrades for the aft
so a total of 84 points
60 points for the fore pilot card
52 points for the aft pilot card.
so a total of 101 for the fore total
and total of 95 for the aft total.
So I figured I'd have 296 points to
go against but then Howlrunner was added
to the mix so I had 314 points for the Rebel build.
That's the side I was playing so I went with:
Luke Skywalker........... 28
Opportunist....................4
R2 Astromech...............1
Flechette Torpedoes ....2
Mubitions Failsafe ........1
Biggs Darklighter .......25
R2-D2 ..........................4
Stealth Device .............3
Rookie Pilot ...............21
R7-T1 ..........................3
Proton Torpedoes .......4
Munitions Failsafe .......1
"Dutch" Vander — Y-Wing .23
Ion Cannon Turret ................5
Proton Torpedoes ................4
R5-K6 ...................................2
Opportunist ..........................4
Gray Squadron Pilot .....20
R2-D6 .............................1
Opportunist .....................4
Ion Cannon Turret ..........5
Proton Torpedoes ..........4
Engine Upgrade .............4
Two
Green Squadron Pilot....19
A-Wing Test Pilot............0
Outmaneuver..................3
Push the Limit.................3
Ion Pulse Missile.............3
Hull Upgrade...................3
Two
Dagger Squadron Pilot ...24
Sensor Jammer................4
Ion Cannon........................3
Proton Torpedoes.............4
Munitions Failsafe.............1
Before anyone says "wait, 296?" I know, it was the way I wrote it out that cause me to err adding 100 points to my own build, and it had to do with people telling me that it was too powerful as it was, so since the point of the battle was playtesting of the DP20 we went with it, just to see if it really was that tough.
How will it turn out.

C'mon Joe, why you breakin' the combo?
You should tell him, I tried to give him feedback on all of them, he even said he appreciates it, but he ignored my suggestions. The graphics are outstanding though, I don't know if he's using comic book scans or what.

Yeah? It sounds like bad English, no offense but he is not American is he?

No, he's from Spain. It's Sans-fi aka MelMiniatures.

That explains it fine then. He did a fine job regardless.

Perhaps you can get it professionally repainted.
This one is one of my favorite images.
Oh I can paint...
I'm not sure the fore sections ability is quite right.
Keep in mind that Huge ships attack each round with every secondary weapon. So each round you are attacking with a primary, 3 hardpoints, 2 turrets, and 2 missiles. There is no way a ship should be allowed 8 whole attacks. Not to mention giving it a systems upgrade seems like a bit much too. This thing is a smorgasbord of upgrades, and IMO should be tuned way down.
Or knock it up to about 150 points before upgrades. 8 attacks = TIE Swarm, in a sense.
We went with 112 points for our trials, and with the 84 points of upgrads, total 196. But then added one TIE escort, and put it up against 318 Points.
I started a topic here:

I think it would be great to design a "fan approved" version of the DP20. I do not have the tools to make up the cool looking cards. I still have not got my corvette model and played with how it works so at the moment the stats for the DP20 are a WIP.
I think it would be easier to playtest with a toned down version as suggested. Then see how it performs or underperforms.
Possibly allowing the missile battery to be effective at longer ranges is something to consider, but I don't see these needing energy to use as they carry their own power system and are not an energy weapon.
We pretty much did the opposite and tested it against a greater force.
It got shut down quickly because of Ion Cannons, Ion Turrets, and Ion Missiles,
and destroyed by the fifth turn.
If we get another chance to do a test next week I think we'll go with 250 points this time.
There where a few things that got forgotten, so we'll be making checklists next time.
When I have my try at the Huge ship I'm NOT going to stick to straight 1 & 2
just to get the 6 & 5 energy every turn.
Edited by gabe69velasquezSo as far as the cards go, do you want generic cards for the ship so that either side can use them or an imperial version? If you go the imperial route, I'd say just keep it gray like the official version.

You're one of the few people who hasn't said it's too powerful.
But as for factions, I don't think I want to mess with the colors/logo.
I've never considered it a Rebel ship even though some might have been stolen by them.
I retract that, I forgot the list I compiled. The part of the purpose of making these cards Imperial was that there hasn't been any Imperial Huge ships to date, and I thought this could be one.
But really if I can only find one canon Imperial DP20 and 100 Rebel ones what does that say.
Edited by gabe69velasquez...but on the other hand, now that there is a new faction...
The Dark Revenge was a DP20 frigate that was used by the pirate organization Dharus' Buccaneers during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
The Loose Cannon was a DP20 frigate operated by a group of privateers known only by the name of this vessel.
The Sable II was a Corellian gunship commandeered by the pirate Karn Granzor. It was destroyed in battle with the Anto's Star which was manned by former crewmembers of Sable II.
The Slader's Raider II was a DP20 frigate that was owned and operated by the pirate and smuggler Roark Slader during the early years of the New Republic.
The Gunship was the name of Niles Ferrier's personal DP20 frigate.
Looks like I'm going to have to do a "Scum & Villany" version of the cards.
Step by step, I'll just update this image.
