From the above link:

"Blade Squadron" is a two-part short story written by David J. Williams and Mark S. Williams that appeared in Star Wars Insider 149 and Star Wars Insider 150. It was inspired by artwork depicting an unused battle scene from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and the story focuses on an elite squadron of B-wing starfighters on a suicide mission during the Battle of Endor.

Blade Squadron is the first Insider short story that is part of the new canon—as defined since the April 25, 2014 reboot.

Maybe this is what the Rebel Aces pack will include?

The Rebel Aces pack was in development a lot longer than that story was done. I highly doubt FFG would've been able to get access to the story in time.

I don't known about that. Stories can sit waiting for publication for a long time. The development cycles could have coincided.

PfffT, always some garbage about rebel pilots, never anything sweet like a short story about the 181st, or another Imperial squadron... sad.

And no one wants to know about the Empire, since we all know they are ONE AND ALL evil monsters, and not real people with real families and stories too. Only the good guys have any feelings etc.

I do want to know more about Imperial pilots...like what they look like in the targeting computer and whether any debris hits my shields as I fly through their exploding wreckage.

The Imperials are the bad guys. You did get that memo, didn't you?

Terrorist Propaganda! Don't listen!

But in all seriousness I hope the 181st survives the reboot as well as the 2 Imperial Aces we have. 2 solid STORY arcs even if not always well executed.

"Hold your fire. There's no life forms aboard."

All the proof you need to know who the evil ones are...

Are the Imperials the "bad guys"? I mean before the Empire they were Galactic Republic pilots... which if memory serves was not evil, until Palpatine came along.

Fixed for you ;)
