Anti Pursuit Laser

By Nazull, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I was woundering what happens if a ship would end its movement with its base ending on 3 other enemy ships and each have the Anti Pursuit Laser.

Would all 3 get to roll 1 dice each vs the ship or just 1 ?

and then move the ship back untill its nolonger over laping any ship.

Card reads

After an enemy ship executes a maneuver that causes it to overlap your ship, roll 1 attack die.

On a hit or critical hit result, the enemy ship suffers 1 damage.

My understanding is that you would take 3 hits, or rather, your opponent would get to roll 3 times.

I could be wrong, but that's my take anyway.

And I suppose to finish the question, if you were unable to land your ship due to overlapping their base with yours, I'd say you would end up in the first place you can legally fit. Painful manuever, indeed!

yer it happened twice to a friend.

My 3 shuttel's 2 by 1 formation and he landed on the centre of them, then following turn he thought i was going to go forward and turn. but i did the 0 red manouver. and he did a 2 Spin around but could not go there :)

so he could not shoot my 2 damaged Shuttels and they all got a dice vs him and killed him.

APL only affects the ship in its final base postition. You should only have had one shot against your ship with APL. The furthest 2 you did not overlap as your final base position is not touching their base.

It is listed in the FAQ but I'm at work on break so I can't look it up at the moment.

Sergovan's got it.

FAQ page 3 covers overlapping multiple ships, page 6 clarifies anti-pursuit lasers re final position.

It's possible to end up touching more than one ship to trigger multiple APLs, but they've gotta be lined up just right. See page 17 of the rulebook for details on determining final position when overlapping multiple ships.
