Mark Hamill is 62 and his actual wife is 59.
However, he was 27 in 1978, while Luke is supposed to be more like 20 ish, so one could say Luke is 5 to 10 years younger than Mr. Hamill. If you wanted.

I know the age of the actor in real life but didn't he just turn 18 in ANH, then a couple years to ESB, then two years to ROTJ? Leia seemed older but I think that could be attributed to his redneck upbringing
Obviously they are the same age in movie.
No "the rumors were true; Lupita was cast!"-topics? Who?
No "perhaps the rumors about her being Ventress are true as well then"? I'll wait until trailers before caring.
No "Lady Brienne is gonna kick some SW ass come 2015"? Who?
No "OMG it's the Falcon!!!" at all? Meh, the Star Wars universe is too small. Everyone knows everyone.
I know this is an RPG board but come on... I leave town for 3 days to visit Greece to come back and find a group of SW "enthousiasts" ignoring such awesome leaks/reveals? What is wrong with you?
Plenty is wrong with us. Need a list?
Honestly, I'm glad that movie threads haven't cluttered this board. We're here to talk about the RPG. It's way too early to discuss characters and plots from the movie and incorperating them into our games. Not to mention, the movie will be the wrong time period for this game and it seems a lot of people on here don't like bringing movie stuff into their games anyway.
As stated elsewhere in this tread, I think a lot of us old hats have been burned by the PT and don't want to overhype something this far out. I'm sure conversations will start ramping up once trailers start hitting, until then it's way too early. There is no way to know if someone is a good casting or if the right story elements were used until after we actually see the movie, so why bother talking about it too much now.

There was an interview with Karen Gillan that had something about shaving her head for guardians of the galaxy, and her hair being made into a wig for star wars.
Your post is useless without pictures!
*sigh*
Oh Amy. . . .

No "the rumors were true; Lupita was cast!"-topics? Who? Best actress winner at last years academy awards, phenomenal actress.
No "perhaps the rumors about her being Ventress are true as well then"? I'll wait until trailers before caring. Good for you, mind if I get excited anyway?
No "Lady Brienne is gonna kick some SW ass come 2015"? Who? Major part in the most popular tv show right now.
No "OMG it's the Falcon!!!" at all? Meh, the Star Wars universe is too small. Everyone knows everyone. Makes no sense.

Honestly. I am tired of seeing the photos. There are a surprising amount out already and it just started filming. You could say its unsurprising considering the fan fair for this movie.
Basically I don't want to know everything about the movie before it comes out.
I'd lay money that all those images are totally Disney/LFL authorized. I mean, the first batch even had extras, in costume, smiling for the camera.
A slow drip-feed of vague, non-spoilery images should keep the fans happy, and lessen the need for more clandestine photos. Remember when somebody broke into the 'Crystal Skull' production offices and stole some computers? I'm sure they don't want to see something like that happen again...
When Sith was coming out, I went with a total news embargo. No photos, no news, not even the trailers. I think this time I'll go the opposite and revel in every single spoiler I can get my hands on.
No "Lady Brienne is gonna kick some SW ass come 2015"?
To be fair, imagine how disappointed people would've been with "Jules Winfield is going to kick Sith butt come 1999!" Fortunately, despite the fact he spent the whole movie sitting and frowning, The Phantom Menace was well-recieved by all.

And well you did. That main, official trailer laid out the whole movie. ![]()

Yeah, the trailer was the first thing I did when I got home - and man was I shocked on how much was spoiled. That was a seriously dreadful trailer.
Of course since then, because most trailers these days are crap, if I remotely want to see it anwyay - Cap, Thor, Planet of the Apes, Godzilla - I skip the trailers. I figure they've already got my money, I might as well go in as cold as I can.
Edited by DesslokTrailers always tempt me but lately I have been avoiding them for the most part. They almost always show the ending of the film.
I am intrigued at Gwendoline Christie's casting. I love her performance in GoT so I'm looking forward to seeing her in the upcoming Star Wars flick (as well as in Hunger Games).
Lupita Nyong'o being cast gives legs to the Ventress rumor—one of my favorite characters from TCW because of the journey she went through in that series.
Physical props and location sets are a good sign. Call me "cautiously optimistic".
The newly released pic of Mark with his beard (alongside Mickey Mouse) shows that he's looking a lot better than he has in recent years.

Master Skywalker is looking the part.
Man, I hope he keeps that beard. He looks dead sexy with it.
I'm sure he's channeling Ben and he will...
No, no - I mean just his day to day, non-Wars life. That beard looks boss!
He's said that the beard is definitely for the movie; apparently, he hasn't shaved since the table read. I like it!
Funny thing is, I read somewhere that Mark is older now than Alec was when they did Star Wars. Man... I can't even process that information!

This one is better, the first movie premiered 32 years after the end of ww2. This next one will premiere 38 years after the first....
