So, we really aren't doing it? Really?

By DanteRotterdam, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

No "the rumors were true; Lupita was cast!"-topics?

No "perhaps the rumors about her being Ventress are true as well then"?

No "Lady Brienne is gonna kick some SW ass come 2015"?

No "OMG it's the Falcon!!!" at all?

I know this is an RPG board but come on... I leave town for 3 days to visit Greece to come back and find a group of SW "enthousiasts" ignoring such awesome leaks/reveals? What is wrong with you? ;)

Was Lupita statted?

No?

I don't see what the big deal is, then.

Funny...

Looks to be a new class of X wing judging by the intake and nose.

Stealth X?

Looks like the McQuarrie X-Wing design with the wings closed. Between the leaked set photos we've seen so far and the stuff for Rebels that's been released, it seems like they're really trying to go back to the roots, at least visually speaking.

The image that tickles me the most is this one right here (note the table):

I've always liked to imagine the mcquarrie x-wing concept art to be the new republic model. Sleeker, more advanced.

I do wonder if the Nightsisters are involved in episode VII.

I know this is an RPG board but come on...

In all honesty I don't care that much. Sure, I'll go see it when it's done, but I'm feeling quite blasé about it. Maybe I just don't want to get my hopes up for the Disney/Abrams team.

I'm super excited for it, I guess for some reason I just never thought of coming here to talk about it. I don't know why!

I love that pic of the X-Wing, I had not seen it yet. I'm super happy JJ is taking the old school route and using as little CG effects as possible.

What I find amusing is that the internet was in an OUTRAGE when initial casting was announced because there were not enough women. (Even though most of the cast was the original one.) Now, two more women are cast, and I've seen zero "Oops, I was wrong" statements from the people who mouthed off about it.

I'm so sick of phony nerd outrage.

Like it hate it, the bottom line is the universe will be expanded which creates opportunity. I have to say though I am far more interested in the movies in between the new trilogy than the trilogy itself.

I'm figuring out, from other messages, that there's an odd looking x-wing in the first pic... But what's in the second pic??

It's a note signed by JJ Abrams that reads "I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII. And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie."

The joke is that the note is sitting on the Dejarik table from the Millennium Falcon.

Honestly. I am tired of seeing the photos. There are a surprising amount out already and it just started filming. You could say its unsurprising considering the fan fair for this movie.

Basically I don't want to know everything about the movie before it comes out.

Disney I have no issue with - they've done right by the Marvel movies - but JJ. . . well - his stuff has been poor to mediocre. I'm far more looking forward to the Godzilla guy doing his stand alone flick.

I would suggest not getting on the internet or watching TV or listening to the radio the next 18 months then.

We've already had this conversation, but I find just about anything JJ has done to be miles beyond the boredom that was Godzilla.

I honestly cannot imagine a Fett movie directed by that guy. However, I like to try to be positive till I see something, so anything is possible I guess!

I haven't paid too much attention to the JJ movie once they slapped fans in the face and said that all canon information post Endor wasn't cannon anymore. Screw you, its cannon, your movie is false unless its better than the Thrawn trilogy. Has anyone noticed any female redhead actresses(or who could easily dye their hair) roughly late 40s who could play the role of Mara Jade? Someone in the JJ camp did step back from the anti-canon statement and said they will be using bits and pieces.

I wonder if they will get Jeremy Bulloch to continue to play the role of Boba in that movie? I can just see him now going off on one of his rants like he did for the prequals, "Im not a bloody clone dammit!"

There was an interview with Karen Gillan that had something about shaving her head for guardians of the galaxy, and her hair being made into a wig for star wars.

Late 40s? That is too young compared to the ages of the OT characters.

Might I suggest the IMDB boards?

Honestly I wish people would get off the night sisters. I prefer the term witches of dathomir as there were both dark side and light side users on the planet. All people seem to zero in on are the night sisters because they were in cw cartoon. Man I am old school eu I guess cause I have been a fan since courtship. See there is some nerd outrage right there take a tip from disney's other movie frozen and just.... Let it go.

We don't know what the script even involves so you know I am just going to wait until there these moving pictures on a big screen with sound providing dialogue and effects. It is called the movie that starts probably with episode 7 somewhere in its title. Yep, I think then I might find out what it is all about.

Seriously though I got burned out on getting hyped up for movies way back in episode 1 days, so for me it's just meh til release date.

Your post is useless without pictures!

*sigh*

Oh Amy. . . .

late 40s too young? they were about early-mid twenties at RoTJ (han was a bit older of course) and the movie takes place 25 years post Endor right at the beginning of what would be the Vuushan(sp?) Yong Invasion if they were following canon. I liked that series but I wouldn't want to see it as a reboot of Star Wars movies. But yeah, shouldn't Mara be late 40s-early 50s at most?
