Pilot Chubacca whith crew R2-D2 question

I have a question I have the card r2-d2 it says roll a hit resulting randomly flip one or ur face down cards and card damage flip them face up
but chubacca pilot card says When you are a faceup's dealing damage card: immediately flip it face down (without resolving its ability).
dos it meens chubacca cancel r2-d2 bad side affect out?

No, Chewbacca ability goes into effect when being dealt a face up card. R2-D2 doesn't deal a face up card, it simply flips a face down card over.

This. Chewie's ability (and Determination, for that matter) only work when damage cards are dealt. Anything that turns them face up after they are dealt (which now includes Rexlar and Saboteur as well as the new R2-D2 crew) doesn't trigger his ability.
