Fully lit CR90 Corvette

By Millennium Falsehood, in X-Wing

No, go ahead! It'll motivate me to finish this one, and I'm looking forward to seeing your results. :)

Where did you bury the dog?

I know its not canon colors, but i wanted something different :)

This is the repaint, little like the assassin class corvette.. I always loved those!

It is next to my repainted transport, made it super rusted and worn out. Its seen way to many missions.lol

This is the front lit up before the repaint!

Hope you get motivated. lol This is not an easy job!!

Great work MF and others, my electrical skills consist of remembering (or not) to recharge batteries...

Nice job there street.

Argh. I so want to do this.

It would so end up going wrong.

^^ This +1,000,000,000

And don't bother to tell me how easy it is, just be patient, etc. I would take an exacto knife, make my first cut, and it would just be the beginning of the disaster.

It would so end up going wrong does not even do justice to what would happen if I tried what many have done in this forum. Hell, I can't even paint my minis - what would make me think I could - "BAM" - electrify them? :P

I am thoroughly in awe and experience much jealousy when I see everyone's repaints, lightings, etc. Excellent jobs !

Just posted mine. Thanks for the insight into the internals of this thing! I helped me for sure!

No problem, Tony. :)

I'm still working on the internal deck. I found these for the bridge: http://www.hobbiesplus.com.au/at%20038.jpg They're kind of expensive, but they're the only ones I could find in the right scale.

These are the ones I thought about using. They're flat, but I didn't think it would matter inside such a tiny space: http://www.hlj.com/product/gnzge-007/Nav and only $7.50

Well, after dealing with photoetch figures before, I'm decidedly against them in favor of plastic ones. Plastic figures look better and are easier to deal with in terms of gluing them to the deck.

Please tell me you're going to put a cow on the bridge.

Where are you getting the majority of your parts, if you dont mind me asking? Like, I've brought projects to Radio Shack before, and they've even helped me with suggestions, but they can be a bit pricey compared to some of the internet sites.

Your CR90 is looking way over the top...great job man !!

Millennium Falsehood - I've said it before. You do awesome work. I'm soooooo envious of your skill and patience.

I buy my stuff from http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/ledlights1.html

I use 3V LEDs because a coin cell battery and clip is easier to conceal than a 9V or AAs.

I buy most of my LEDs from online stores like http://www.oznium.com . I also like to get LED Christmas Tree lights when they're on sale at Walmart because they have special lenses on the tips that distribute light to the sides.

I never, ever, ever, EVER buy from Radio Shack. They're WAY too expensive. I can get about 16 superbright white LEDs for what Radio Shack charges. I also get a much better selection online.
