Edge of Rebellion

I like to reuse supplements whenever I can and bought the Age of Rebellion beginner box for the dice, token and maps. (If you plan to take part in the Age of Rebellion beginner game you might not want to read below.)


We are about to start an Edge of the Empire game so I thought I’d use the adventure as well, with a few little tweaks.


The idea is to used the troubled relationship between Admiral Corlen and Moff Dardano and add a Hutt into the mix.


Admiral Corlen is a political rival of Moff Dardano and has learnt the Moff has built Whisper base. Engagements with the rebels haven't gone very well for Dardano, and Corlen thinks 1 more failed battle will spell the end of the Moffs reputation.


Meanwhile a Hutt crime lord named Bargos has discovered/paid for information concerning Corlen and his rebel tendencies. Though this is not completely true the Admiral and the Hutt have opened avenues of discussion after the Hutt dropping hints or threatening blackmail. To make contact with the rebels and find out more information Bargos and his agents are dealing with rebel weapon procurement and is supplying some of the weapons.


When the rebels fail Bargos will offer his mercenary services to take the base, as long as he can use it as a base of operations to start a big game safari business charging customers to stay at the base and hunt the jungle in the surrounding area and also act as a staging area for trips out to Dxun, the demon moon.


Corlen allows information to fall into rebel hands and unknown to Corlen the Hutt hires pirates to capture the rebels on the way to the base to make sure they don't even get to attempt the invasion.


Meanwhile the PC’s overhear the pirates in a cantina celebrating about the recent heist of ship, weapons and credits. A local information broker/space port technician knows the location of the captured rebel ship and plunder and after a scuffle with the pirates offers the information to the PC’s in exchange for a small percentage of the credits.


The PC’s take/break in/storm the captured rebel ship to steal the weapons and credits. They find the booty but also discover what remains of the living rebels.



What do they do? Free the rebels and help them take Whisper Base, contact the Hutt and take it for him (maybe they have obligation to the hutt). Work for the Empire to discredit Dardano?
