So I played in 2 Imdaar events this weekend and ended up 4th at both. Was left with what the too 3 didn't choose both times so I ended up with a TIE Defender and Z-95 Headhunter. Probably not the ones I'd have chosen, but it's 2 ships I didn't have going into the weekend.

I got 2 as well, the E-Wing on Friday and the Headhunter on Saturday. Unfortunately my bid for a 3rd ship fell flat on it's face when I went 1-3 in today's tourney. The only win I got was from a first round bye. For the rest of the games my dice decided that they were tired from the two previous tourneys and rolled nothing but blanks all day long....didn't kill a single ship it was that bad.

How the **** did the Z-95's not go first in every tourney everywhere.

I am making the prediction now, that in the months to come, they will be the hardest things to source. Everywhere will be sold out, and quickly.

easy, the Defender isn't the cheap TIE Fighter, ergo it isn't as useful in a swarm, which seems to be a disqualifying factor for many. ... and then you read laments about the few variations in imperial builds....

I'm sure there is enough circular logic in it to keep a merry-go-round running for ages.

I might have chosen the Z-95 - but mostly because they opened up pre-orders for Wave 4 after the first round of our tournament, so I quickly ran and preordered 2 of each ship. Then afterward I was thinking "Oh wow, what if I make the top 4... The only ship I KNOW I'll want more than 2 of right away, is the Z-95". Though to be honest I'll probably want a 3rd Phantom as well at some point.
