Today I ran Corran in the following build.

-Marksmanship

While expensive, and after a flubbed evade roll that left him shieldless, he almost took on the opposing squad on his own once I got the hang of him and basically killed a ship every other turn. I think I'm gonna stick him in in place of Luke in some 3 amigos builds. Has anyone else got any interesting E-Wing builds?

I think I'm gonna stick him in in place of Luke in some 3 amigos builds. Has anyone else got any interesting E-Wing builds?

though he is a beast, he's still no interceptor in terms of movement and arc dodging.. a focus fire from opposing team will destroy him outright most of the time

and if you were to shape him up closer to an interceptor he's going to be so costly that you're basically putting all your eggs into one basket

My final table list I won with was:

Wedge + R2 mech + PtL

Airen + Homing Miss + Wingman + Munitions

Etahn + R7-T1 + VI + FCS

It was awesome to have 3 ships that synergized so well. I kept them all within 1 of each other and would always use PtL on Wedge for a TL and Focus. Then at the start of the combat phase have Airen remove the stress with Wingman. Then when Wedge shot thanks to Etahn he got to roll a hit to a crit. Arien shoots next with a TL, he got as his action, he too got to roll a hit to a crit because of Etahn. After his attack he e would then allow Etahn to preform a free action which was a Focus to go along with his TL he got as his action. Etahn's ability will also work on him to roll a hit over to a crit. Also shooting at PS 9, 8, 7 with initiative thanks to a 98 point list was noice.

Also the game came down to Fel and Etahn.

I made this list with the intent of using it if I got to the final round:

Coran Horn with PTL, R2, Hull Upgrade & FCS (44)

Cracken with Wingman & Cluster Missile (25)

Jensen with Vet Instincts & R2 (31)

Jensen is there to clear tokens from his target and to prevent Brath from using his ability. Cracken is there to pass actions when attacking. I don't expect him to survive much past the first pass but, if he does, then any extra damage he inflicts is a bonus. Horn is the hammer of the list.

I didn't get to use this list but gave it to the Rebel finalist at the Saturday Imdaar event and he won the game with it when Horn double tapped Brath who's K-Turn put him in Horn's front arc at range 1 facing away from Horn with no return shot.

I've played him once so far with that setup minus the R7(which I will also try eventually) and my 1st impression is that he's a good opening ship(double-tap attack) and if he gets ignored, a great closer as well. If you fly him defensively and only double-tap when you're certain that you'll destroy your target without jeopardizing Corran you will get alot of mileage from him despite the heavy point cost.

While the E-wing sacrifices the boost action it gains in having 3 shields which gives it staying power. It will never get one-shot'ed by an unlucky dice roll unlike a Squint. Focus firing is the way to go to take it out(as with most ships) but it'll take more effort, I think, compared to an Interceptor.

Horn is a beast for sure and I did find a way to get him to use all five actions in one turn. He has to take PTL and R7-T1 and have Craken with Wingman and a Cluster Missile to do it.

Here's how you do it:

1: Horn spends his actions with PTL, Target Lock (1) with the boost from T1 (2) and another of his choice with PTL (3).

2: At the beginning of the Combat Phase Craken removes the stress from using PTL from Horn with Wingman.

3: Craken fires his Cluster Missile, generating 2 free actions to pass to Horn to use on the last 2 actions he has left (4 & 5).
