That looks awesome!!
Great concept, it's look awesome, thanks for the pictures, and congratulations for the prize of the IA, greettings.
Thanks everyone !!!
Very nice. I can't believe you managed to do that detail work in what can't have been more than a few hours.
I wish I had talent.
Wow. Awesome paint job - and fast! Did you break out the paints right there at the tournament?

I started as soon as I got home. The paints were left out and ready from a previous paint job - done a few days earlier.
He took me 3 hours n' 20 minutes to do.
You're going to start buying up a bunch of Interceptors and Phantoms and painting them and selling them, right?
RIGHT?!
Hehe, naw.
Great... This is the ship that was really waiting for that paint job:)
Would you mind posting a tutorial? I can paint a bit, but not entirely sure I understand what makes that paint job tick.
I'll see if I can set aside some time for it. No promises though.
Yes, what colors did you use to create the effects. Great job.
Awesome repaint! Btw, what paints did you use?
Citadel colours, I'm not 100% on the new names but the old paints that I use are called Bone White, Enchanted Blue, Regal Blue, Icy Blue, Fortress grey, Chaos Black and a purple wash.
Such a killer paintjob!
Grats on the win, too! Totally wish I could have been there.
Thanks, we missed you and your Squints o' Doom.
I just won a Phantom and there is a distinct possibility that I might copy your idea. Hope you don't mind.

You guys are nuts. Hehe
might be crazy.. but definitely admire the paint job, if I could do it, I would ( I have a practice Tie I can use to see what it looks like.. lol).. lol.. I may give it a shot, though it may not be as good. Doesn't actually seem difficult, and I have been painting for years.. just not this stuff.. if this was a 28mm barbarian fighter I'd be all over it.. lol
Also, was wondering.. for the back half black coat.. is that painted on with brush, or is it sprayed.. the more I think about this the more I want to give it a try... I think I have some good colors to do it justice, I use Vallejo paints...
It is all brush.
Nice paint, love the effect. I may have to do this in the future when I get one.
Awesome paint job!!
Probably the best paint-job of all time!
It is all brush.

Very nice indeed.. I thought maybe was sprayed then brush the details..I'll need to thin my paints, but may just tape and spray the black..
Cool, thanks... I may ask other questions later, but I think I have my process down...
Next up, get myself a second Phantom and then paint shark teeth under the cockpit?
Congratulations on picking up a ship at Imdaar. That paint job is superb.

How about I give you infinite copies of Fel's Wrath? they make great toilet paper...
It looks incredible! May I ask what technique you use to get the 'spark' or 'lightning' effects to look so nice? If it's not too much trouble to explain.
