Can't decide which list to take.

By AtomicFryingPan, in X-Wing

So i have 2 lists that I'm thinking of taking for IA this Sunday. The first list I used at regionals and broke into the top 16 and almost made top 8 with. I'm super comfortable flying with it.

List 1 99 points

Kyle-Determination-Blaster-Recon-Crow-Shield

Garven-R3a2-Shield

Dutch-R5-P9-Ion

So this list is really my go to list and it's done very well and I get better with it all the time. All PS6 makes maneuvering very easy and having 2 turrets is forgiving. The ion and stress combo is great and I don't worry a whole lot when my ships get stressed because everyone usually has a focus or TL or both. There really isn't a very clear 1st priority target which is nice and r5-p9 on dutch can keep him alive pretty well and he can have 3 focuses (foci?) on him with this list.

List 2-99

Kyle-Recon-Determination-Crow-Blaster

Garven-R5p9-shield

Ibtisam-PTL-ADV sensors

Ok so this list also has 99 points and all PS6 pilots which should make flying very easy. If i get into a jam I can have Ibby barrel roll before going and with PTL and stress it's kind of like having a mini TL. This packs more punch than the 1st list but i have no experience flying it. I feel like Ibby would be the clear 1st priority target. I give Garven the r5p9 to help him stay later in the game.

Any thoughts on these lists and which one you would take?

List 2 has more damage out put if it was me I would always go for more damage.

Also Ibtisam-PTL-ADV sensor is going to wreck some people.

I will also add, I personally think I would be better to drop Ibtisam and work in two b-wings. The three ships is a hard sell but if your heart is set again run list 2.

Rule 1: Go with what you know you can fly

Rule 2: Do only maneuvers you are sure will work

Rule 3: Fly Casual

Rule 2: Do only maneuvers you are sure will work

Where is the fun in that? My favorite gaming stories usually begin with "what the hell might as well try it"

Personally, I can't imagine running Ibtisam without engine upgrade...its too much of a blast. But that might just be me.
