I played this weekend with my dad.... he slaughtered me. Still going to 2 Imdaar events though.

Finally playtested my list last night. 100% ready for Sunday

Play tested my build for Saturday and won two games. Still though, I'm not as confident as I'd like to be.

I have been going back and forth on my list I am settled on a bomber swarm with Jonus and Howlrunner so we will see what happens. All I know is tomorrow is 9 hours of x-wing fun after a long week.

Don't give up friends, dice can be funny things sometimes :-) I hope you both fair better tomorrow. I am playing at a small store where we only have 4 regulars out of 8 playing tomorrow so i hope one of us can do well for our store. It would be nice of no one else showed up but I am guessing there will be a crowd.

I can almost guarantee the one I'm going to tonight will be all kinds of crowded. Don't know about the one I'm going to sunday, I've never played there before.

And dad WAS rolling hot..... but he's also got quite a natural knack for tactics and strategy.

I am looking forward to a wide variety of competition tomorrow. I love playing with my kids. But its time I get a more varied look at the game. Should be a lot of fun. Though I don't think I will do better than a win. We shall see. This will be my first event having only owned the game for a month.

In Australia had the 1st Friday night event already. Pulled 1st place with 4 wins and came away with a Defender my fav ship from the old TIE Fighter video game days going to Saturday and Sunday tourneys as well.

My first tourney. Nervous and excited. Ready to let the ships fly and the die decide.

And I expect my LGS to have a large turn out. And another forum member here that is a master list builder and can fly shuttles around ya. Not expecting to win this thing. Just have fun.

It always bothered me that only the HWK comes with a blaster turret. Why didn't the Y-wing? I love the HWK, but just don't think I need more than two of them...

Well the most obvious answer is FFG didn't have a blaster turret idea initially when the y-wing came out. But in more practical terms, the y-wing is always associated with the ion turret, and the hwk with a blaster turret.

I feel the same way about the flu. I get to stay home and play games but in all likelihood it's not worth the cost.
