Ruling on when an Enhance action checks for its stats.

By ThorKnight83, in UFS Rules Q & A

In my Example we have rising hilt which its enhance action reads E: Discard 1 momentum, This attack gets +X damage. Xequals the number of rsource symbols on cards in your opponent's card pool that do not match your character's resource symbols.

Our question is that if I as the defender to his rising hilt attack have no cards in my card pool at the time

and i choose to block after the enhance step will the symbols from the block be added to the damage or will the enhance action

check for the symbols at the time of the enhance and add the amount at that time.

The enhance checks for the symbols at the time it activated.

So, once you try to block, the enhance is long over, and no damage will be added.

and the symbols are or are not unique? Hearing at PotM that the dmg was non unique makes me think this is the same?

So if your opponent has 3 cards in card pool, each with 1 symbol matching character as well as the Fire and Earth symbols (not matching), it would be 6? or am i dumb and its 2?

thanks
