I do not have the CRB here at the moment so I am unable to look it up, but perhaps someone can tell me how the game deals with old fashioned weapons such as spears, clubs and the like?
Spears, clubs, etc.
The game goes very little in to those sorts of weapons, but there is the "inferior" weapon quality. I would find a similar weapon and largely just give it that quality.
For clubs specifically, in my mind clubs are no different than truncheons, which do have a writeup in the book.
With all that being said, If my game, if there's a vibro version of an "old fashioned" weapon in the book, I would just use the stats for that weapon and not change a thing, but rather re-flavor the weapon as well as finding creative uses for threats and despairs.
Edited by kaosoeThere are a few example of this through the books:
Chain: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/302/
Gaffi Stick: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/182/
Truncheon: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/184/
Mop: http://swrpg.viluppo.net/books/weapons/303/
Edited by Aahzmandius_KarrdeI suspect the Mop really should have the Improvised trait, but as it's in the Beginners Game...
Improvised weapon examples are p.212 CRB EoE.
