Fore/Aft cards?

By Baphomet69, in X-Wing

So I finally got my HWK-290, Rebel Transport and CR-90 today (don't ask).

I am pacing myself, I haven't opened the Blockade Runner yet, but, um, wasn't the Transport supposed to come with fore and aft cards, with healthy/damaged sides? I got 6 x-wing cards and one GR-75 ship card. Am I mis-remembering discussion on here, or am I missing cards?

No, only the cr-90 has fore and aft section cards. You damage the fore or aft of the transport separately as far as damage cards, but it's all pulled from a single damage pool

The CR-90 is the one with a fore and Aft. The Transport only uses one card, though it was a fore and aft damage deck, and the reinforce action only chooses on section.

Edit: Ninja!

nope, the cr90 does have 2 sections, but the transport only has 2 damage decks and 1 ship card

edit i get distracted for 10 minutes and when i finish writing is too late :(

What's the opposite of a ninja?

I believe that's what we refer to as a "nonja"

Thanks to you all! I can now stop freaking out.

One more question; so the Transport's damage deck should be one deck? I already split it by fore/aft. It sounds like I should recombine and shuffle?

No, keep it split, separate sections are still choosen when it is attacked and there are different crits for each section.

Right.

I do have a question though...

I have 3 transports (because I like self induced poverty) and am not sure if I use one transport damage deck between them, or one transport damage deck per transport?

Ok, CR-90 question;

There are a bunch of 'Energy' based cards, why aren't they labeled Huge Ship Only?

Hey, I know the question is a bit off topic but it fits here and I don't want to start a whole new thread for it:

Does damage dealt to one section past what it takes to cripple it applied to the ship in general, or do you have to cripple both sections to destroy it?

Same reason R2-D2 isn't labeled Rebel Only, or the Stygium Particle Accelerator isn't labeled TIE Phantom only.

so, typo?

so, typo?

Nope. Huge ships are the only ones that have the Energy mechanic right now and Energy upgrade cards would be a waste of space on any other ships. They don't need to say "Huge Ships Only" because FFG thinks players of X-Wing are smart enough to figure this out on their own.

No they just saved ink. You can't use an energy based card on a small ship, it doesn't produce energy. It would be pointless

argh .

You have to cripple both sections of a ship to kill it.

Each Huge ship has its own pair of damage decks.

He didn't mean they come with, he meant during the game they each have their own pair.

Well, I guess I need more card sleeves...
