Hey guys, just a quick couple questions here. Currently in the middle of a game and need some clarification. My friend just landed his X-Wings (2 of them lol, same asteroid) on an asteroid within range 3 of my Falcon. Need some clarification on what happens when I attack him:
1. Does he roll the extra defense die for range 3 still? I'm thinking yes.
2. Does he get the extra defense die for being "behind" an asteroid if his ships bases are inside the asteroid token and my targetting ruler has to go through it to measure the shortest points from base to base?
I think those are my only two questions for now. Appreciate the help guys, thanks.
Wasn't sure what to search for attacking a defender ON an asteroid
Yes and yes.
1: Yes. The only thing that prevents the distance die is if you're using a secondary weapon.
2: Yes. If your ruler goes through a part of an asteroid to get to their ship, it's an obstructed shot.
Of course, he landed on an asteroid. He's going to be rolling 2 damage against himself AND doesn't get to shoot this round. Cut the guy some slack ;-)
Watch out, If he landed 2 X-wing on the same asteroid, he's up to something... Don't fall in his trap...

If two X-Wings are getting an evade die by staying on an asteroid, see to it that they stay there. Blocker convoy for the win, baby!
Haha, thanks for the responses guys.
He was running Wedge, Luke and Biggs, he landed Luke and Wedge on the same asteroid on like turn 3 at the start of our first engagement hahaha (we're both pretty new and still trying to get the maneuvering down). I was running dual Falcons (both just came in today so gave it a shot) and kind of cheese trained up and down the side of the table. Needless to say, I took full advantage of shooting at Wedge while I could (he ended up flying him out of range to use his astromech to heal up after dropping to 1 hull), that -1 Agility took it to me pretty hard near the end.
As for the rules, we played them the same as you guys said, we figured that's how it was, but just wanted to make sure. Still lots of learning to squeeze in with our first tournament coming up on Sunday.
