So I'm toying with the idea of running dual YT1300's, what appeals is that it's basically 26 hit points, that's a lot to take out.
So what tips are out there for upgrades and how to play?

Well, you could build a Flight to Alderaan Falcon and an approximation of the Battle of Endor Falcon:
Note that this is untested as Han is just released.
26HP but 1 agility and only six attack dice, roughly equivalent to two X-wings or three TIEs. Divide your opponent and they're dead. If they manage to concentrate fire, you're dead.
Dual Falcons almost flies itself. This is both its strength and its weakness. The upside is your maneuvering matters much less. The downside is you can't change up your strategy much. In a way, the Falcon flying itself means you
aren't
flying it. Against an opponent that doesn't know how to fight Dual Falcon, you'll slaughter him. Against anyone who does, you'll die fairly easily against any list with firepower. 13HP's good, 1 agility is not. Against a swarm you won't be able to kill them fast enough. Interceptors will sit at Range 3 and snipe you down. Firesprays and the new TIE defenders will just match you on hitpoints but beat you on agility and firepower.
Dual Falcon is one of those squadrons that's really good against people who don't know how to counter it, but once they do, it loses its efficacy significantly. If you're running it in casual you'll get a few wins and eventually your group will either work out how to take you down or look it up online. Tournament, you'll win the early rounds but as soon as you start hitting the really seasoned players they too will know how to slay your double Falcon.
Dual Falcon was good in its day, but people know how to kill it now. If you want to run a Falcon I'd run one, and make up the rest of your squadron with less predictable ships.
Edited by LagomorphiaI run double falcons all the time.

... I think there's something wrong with me. Awesomely wrong.
Oh, you run double BlockORS with Ibtisam now instead of another Dagger? Nice.
Another great Double Falcon is:
Chewbacca / Lando
+ Gunner
+ Expert Handling
(49/51)
360*, without much of a need of offensive actions, and the ability to jump around like the Killer Rabbit of Caernabog.
*Note: To use this properly, stick to Green Maneuvers, and have Chewbacca only Ex H off of the free action from Lando.
I don't have the card in front of me, but I'm pretty sure Lando is restricted to actions in the action bar, so no using him to grant a use of expert handling.
A guy from my local play area runs
Lando
Nien Num
Push the Limit
Falcon title
Chewie
Vet Instincts
Gunner
Recon Spec
or something along those lines, and has done well with it.
I'd swap the recon spec for C-3PO myself, as I feel it will help more, but I could be wrong.
Chewie Wants a Medal (100pts)
Chewie + Expert handling + Nien Nimb + Falcon Title (46)
Outer Rim Smuggler + Anti-Persuit Lasers (29)
Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors (25)
iv had some good success with this squad recently. was playing a Dagger instead of the BSP but have decided to find the pts for Nien Nimb and Falcon Title on Chewie who is my finisher.
My Doewy build.
Lando, Push the limit, Nien numb, Mil Falcon
Chewy, Vet. Int. , Gunner, Recon
I like to set them up side by side. Lando on the edge. Chewy range with in range 2. Gives them enough room to bank and not bump.
Gone threw a lot of new cards like predator. Haven't run into any combinations I like better.
This build works out great in formation. But both handle well on their own. You'll find at same pilot skill a lot of options open up when it comes to moving and shooting.

You can't expert handling with the action lando grants because it's not on the action bar.

Unless you plan on focus + evade fairly often on lando, predator would certainly be better since it's essentially target lock without stress token.
Also for falcons in general, c3p0 is incredibly strong. He gets even better against fewer ships. People like to run the title alot, but he's bascially 3 point title that costs a crew slot (there is usually one to spare) but doesnt take an action, which is especially huge on turns you bump. You can even guess "1" in a situation where you only have 1 hull left and need to evade 2 hits or die and maybe get away with it.
